In 1404 Alice Chaucer Duchess Suffolk was born to Thomas Chaucer and Maud Burghesh.

In 1407 Thomas Chaucer was appointed as Speaker of the House of Commons.

Siege of Harfleur

In Sep 1415 Henry V King England commenced his invasion of France by undertaking the Siege of Harfleur to provide himself with a port from which to supply future operations. John Mowbray 2nd Duke Norfolk, John Fastolf and Thomas Chaucer fought. William "Jackanapes" Pole 1st Duke Suffolk was wounded. Benedict Nichols Bishop St David's was present.
On 17 Sep 1415 Nicholas IV Longford died. Michael Pole 2nd Earl Suffolk died of dysentery.

On 18 Nov 1434 Thomas Chaucer died.

After 18 Nov 1434 Thomas Chaucer was buried at St Mary's Church.

Alice Beaumont-Roger inherited the Earldom of Warwick when her half-niece Margaret Beaumont-Roger 7th Countess Warwick died.

After 1475. Monument to Alice Chaucer Duchess Suffolk. Wrist Garter in St Mary's Church. The effigy was, apparently, viewed to determine how a lady should wear the garter at the re-commencement of Lady of the Garter appointments in 1901 after a gap of several hundred years. A particularly fine Cadaver underneath the chest on which Alice's effigy lies. Full-length in a shroud.
