On 28 Oct 1533 [his father] King Henry II of France (age 14) and [his mother] Catherine Medici Queen Consort France (age 14) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort of France. He the son of King Francis I of France (age 39) and Claude Valois Orléans Queen Consort France.
On 31 Mar 1547 [his grandfather] King Francis I of France (age 52) died. His son [his father] King Henry II of France (age 28) succeeded II King France: Capet Valois Angoulême.
Diary of Edward VI. 17 Jun 1550. [Note. Mistake for 27th]. The [his mother] French quene (age 31) was deliverid of a third sone, called mons. d'Angoulesme.1

On 27 Jun 1550 Charles IX King France was born to King Henry II of France (age 31) and Catherine Medici Queen Consort France (age 31).
On 10 Jul 1559 [his father] King Henry II of France (age 40) was killed whilst jousting in celebration of his daughter's (age 14) marriage to Philip "The Prudent" II King Spain (age 32). His son [his brother] Francis II King France King Consort Scotland (age 15) succeeded II King France: Capet Valois Angoulême. Mary Queen of Scots (age 16) by marriage Queen Consort France. They would reign for eighteen months only with Francis dying in Dec 1560. Francis and Mary would have no issue.
On 05 Dec 1560 [his brother] Francis II King France King Consort Scotland (age 16) died. His brother Charles IX King France (age 10) succeeded IX King France: Capet Valois Angoulême. Mary Queen of Scots (age 17) no longer Queen of France she returned to Scotland arriving at Leith 19 Aug 1561 after having been in France for thirteen years.

On 14 May 1564 Charles IX King France (age 13) was appointed 348th Knight of the Garter by Queen Elizabeth I of England and Ireland (age 30).
On 26 Nov 1570 Charles IX King France (age 20) and Elisabeth of Austria Queen Consort France (age 16) were married. She by marriage Queen Consort of France. She the daughter of Maximilian Habsburg Spain II Holy Roman Emperor (age 43) and Maria of Spain Holy Roman Empress (age 42). He the son of King Henry II of France and Catherine Medici Queen Consort France (age 51). They were fourth cousins.
On 28 Apr 1573 [his illegitimate son] Charles Valois Duke Angoulême was born illegitimately to Charles IX King France (age 22) and Marie Touchet (age 24). The only child of Charles IX King France (age 22). She, Marie Touchet (age 24), would subsequently marry and have issue two daughters, Catherine Henriette de Balzac d'Entragues and Marie Charlotte de Balzac d'Entragues who were both mistresses to Henry IV King France (age 19).
On 30 May 1574 Charles IX King France (age 23) died. His brother [his brother] Henry III King France (age 22) succeeded III King France: Capet Valois Angoulême.
On 22 Jan 1592 [his former wife] Elisabeth of Austria Queen Consort France (age 37) died.
[his daughter] Marie Elisabeth Valois was born to Charles IX King France and Elisabeth of Austria Queen Consort France.
Albert Habsburg Spain VII Archduke Austria and Infanta Isabella Habsburg Spain were married. She the daughter of Philip "The Prudent" II King Spain and Elizabeth Valois Queen Consort Spain. He the son of Maximilian Habsburg Spain II Holy Roman Emperor and Maria of Spain Holy Roman Empress. They were first cousins.
