Biography of Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet 1746-1800
On 26 Oct 1746 Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet was born.
From 1763 Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet (age 16) served as an ensign in the 31st Foot, a captain in the 1st Foot from 1768, and the 92nd Foot from 1779.
In 1770 Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet (age 23) and Janet Duff were married. They had eight sons and four daughters.
In 1780 Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet (age 33) was elected MP Haddingtonshire which seat he held until 1786.
In 1783 [his daughter] Janet Dalrymple was born to Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet (age 36) and [his wife] Janet Duff.
In 1786 Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet (age 39) was appointed Auditor of the Excise in Scotland which office he held until his death.
On 13 Feb 1800 Hew Dalrymple 3rd Baronet (age 53) died.
