On 18 Jun 1819 Caroline Amelia Gordon-Lennox Countess Bessborough was born to Charles Gordon-Lennox 5th Duke Richmond 1791-1860 (age 27) and Caroline Paget Duchess Richmond 1796-1874 (age 23).

On 28 Aug 1819 [her grandfather] Charles Lennox 4th Duke Richmond (age 54) died. His son [her father] Charles Gordon-Lennox 5th Duke Richmond 1791-1860 (age 28) succeeded 5th Duke Richmond, 5th Earl March, 5th Baron Settrington. [her mother] Caroline Paget Duchess Richmond 1796-1874 (age 23) by marriage Duchess Richmond.

In 1834 William Petty-Fitzmaurice (age 22) and [her future sister-in-law] Augusta Lavinia Priscilla Ponsonby (age 19) were married. She the daughter of John Ponsonby 4th Earl Bessborough 1781-1847 (age 52) and Maria Fane (age 47). He the son of Henry Petty-Fitzmaurice 3rd Marquess Lansdowne (age 53) and Louisa Fox-Strangways Marchioness Lansdowne -1851.

On 08 Sep 1835 [her future husband] John George Brabazon Ponsonby 5th Earl Bessborough (age 25) and Frances Charlotte Lambton (age 22) were married. She the daughter of John "Radical Jack" Lambton 1st Earl Durham (age 43) and Harriet Cholmondeley. He the son of John Ponsonby 4th Earl Bessborough 1781-1847 (age 54) and Maria Fane.

On 09 Aug 1838 Charles Frederick Ashley-Cooper Ponsonby 2nd Baron de Mauley (age 22) and [her future sister-in-law] Maria Jane Elizabeth Ponsonby Baroness Mauley (age 19) were married. She the daughter of John Ponsonby 4th Earl Bessborough 1781-1847 (age 56) and Maria Fane. They were first cousins.

THIS day the Marriage of the QUEEN'S MOST EXCELLENT MAJESTY (age 20) with Field Marshal His ROYAL HIGHNESS FRANCIS ALBERT AUGUSTUS CHARLES EMANUEL, DUKE OF SAXE, PRINCE OF SAXE COBOURG AND GOTHA, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter (age 20), was solemnized at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace.

Field Marshal His Royal Highness the Prince Albert (age 20), attended by his Suite, proceeded from Buckingham-Palace [Map] this day, about half past eleven o'clock, to St. James's-Palace [Map], in the following order:
