On 15 Jan 1841 Frederick Arthur Stanley 16th Earl of Derby was born to Edward Smith-Stanley 14th Earl of Derby (age 41) and Emma Caroline Bootle-Wilbraham Countess Derby (age 36).

On 30 Jun 1851 [his grandfather] Edward Smith-Stanley 13th Earl of Derby (age 76) died. His son [his father] Edward Smith-Stanley 14th Earl of Derby (age 52) succeeded 14th Earl Derby, 8th Baronet Stanley of Bickerstaffe.

On 04 Apr 1865 [his son] Edward George Villiers Stanley 17th Earl of Derby was born to Frederick Arthur Stanley 16th Earl of Derby (age 24) and [his wife] Constance Villiers Countess Derby (age 25) at 23 St James' Square.

On 05 May 1868 Odo Russell 1st Baron Ampthill (age 39) and [his sister-in-law] Emily Theresa Villiers Baroness Ampthill (age 25) were married. She the daughter of George William Villiers 4th Earl Clarendon (age 68) and Katherine Grimston Countess Clarendon (age 58). In 1874 [his son] Algernon Francis Stanley was born to Frederick Arthur Stanley 16th Earl of Derby (age 32) and [his wife] Constance Villiers Countess Derby (age 34).

On 26 Apr 1876 [his mother] Emma Caroline Bootle-Wilbraham Countess Derby (age 71) died.

On 05 Jan 1889 [his son] Edward George Villiers Stanley 17th Earl of Derby (age 23) and [his daughter-in-law] Alice Maude Olivia Montagu Countess Derby (age 26) were married. She the daughter of William Drogo Montagu 7th Duke Manchester (age 65) and Louisa Vonalten Duchess Devonshire and Manchester (age 56). He the son of Frederick Arthur Stanley 16th Earl of Derby (age 47) and Constance Villiers Countess Derby (age 49).

On 21 Apr 1893 [his brother] Edward Henry Stanley 15th Earl of Derby (age 66) died at Knowsley. His brother Frederick Arthur Stanley 16th Earl of Derby (age 52) succeeded 16th Earl Derby, 10th Baronet Stanley of Bickerstaffe. In 1897 Frederick Arthur Stanley 16th Earl of Derby (age 55) was appointed 808th Knight of the Garter by Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom (age 77).

On 14 Jun 1908 Frederick Arthur Stanley 16th Earl of Derby (age 67) died. The Times. 22 Jun 1910. LORD ACHESON (age 33) AND MISS CARTER (age 22).

The marriage of Viscount Acheson (age 33), elder son of the Earl (age 68) and Countess of Gosford (age 54), and Miss Mildred Carter (age 22), only daughter of Mr. J. Ridgely Carter (age 46), American Minister to Rumania, and Mrs. Ridgely Carter (age 45), took place yesterday at St. George's, Hanover-square. The Sub-Dean of the Chapels Royal (the Rev. Edgar Sheppard, D.D.) performed the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. David Anderson and other clergy, and Mr. Ridgely Carter (age 46) gave his daughter away. She wore a very simple wedding gown of soft white satin with a long train draped with old point de Venise, and a Venetian lace cap over a spray of myrtle and orange blossom, covered by a plain tulle veil. Master David Stanley, Master Julian Ward, and Miss Diana Roberts, dressed all in white, followed the bride, and there were seven bridesmaids, Lady Theo Acheson (age 28) (sister of the bridegroom), Lady Victoria Stanley, Mlle. Irene deo La Grange, Miss Canilla Morgan, the Hon. Rhoda Astley, Miss Elsie Nicholl, and Miss Marian Scranton, who wore white chiffon dresses with draped bodices and wreaths of myrtle beneath tulle veils. They also wore diamond neckislides and carried loose bunches of red roses. The Hon. Patrick Acheson (age 26) was best man to his brother.
