Around 1319 Joan Burghesh Baroness Mohun Dunster 1319-1404 was born to [her father] Bartholomew "The Elder" Burghesh 1st Baron Burghesh 1287-1355 (32) and [her mother] Elizabeth Verdun Baroness Burghesh 1306-1360 (13) at Burwash.

[her daughter] Maud Mohun Baroness Strange Knockin 1357-1400 (18) had one son Richard Strange 3rd Baron Mohun Dunster 7th Baron Strange Knockin 1381-1449 who succeeded as 3rd Baron Mohun Dunster on the death of his aunt Philippa Mohun Duchess Albemarle aka Aumale Duchess York 1367-1431 (8).

After 07 Aug 1385 William Montagu 2nd Earl Salisbury 1328-1397 and [her daughter] Elizabeth Mohun Countess Salisbury 1374-1415 were married. She  by marriage Countess Salisbury.

Before 07 Oct 1398 Edward York 1st Duke Albemarle aka Aumale 2nd Duke York 1373-1415 and [her daughter] Philippa Mohun Duchess Albemarle aka Aumale Duchess York 1367-1431 were married. He a Grand Son of King Edward III England and 2 x Great Grand Son of Philip "The Fair" IV King France.

On 03 Oct 1404 Joan Burghesh Baroness Mohun Dunster 1319-1404 (85) died at Guest House Canterbury Cathedral. She was buried at Canterbury.
