A curious monument to John Mordaunt 1st Baron Mordaunt 1480-1562 (82) and Elizabeth Vere Baroness Mordaunt -1561 with effigies that appear correct for the time of death, Elizabethan Period, whereas the surrounding monument appears a hundred years later. The carving of his head and torso also appear somewhat out of date. No explanation for his missing right foot. The Mordaunt Crest has changed to an African Woman's Head. The table supported by bare breasted woman that becomes the Mordaunt crest. Sculpted by T Kirkby Sculptor.

In 1571 John Mordaunt 2nd Baron Mordaunt 1508-1571 (63) died. He was buried at All Saints Church Turvey. Lewis Mordaunt 3rd Baron Mordaunt 1538-1601 (32) succeeded 3rd Baron Mordaunt.

On 20 Jul 1601 Lewis Mordaunt 3rd Baron Mordaunt 1538-1601 (62). He was buried at All Saints Church Turvey.

Black-painted alabaster pall and black marble slab. The Mordaunt crest changed to a Bare Breasted Woman.
