In 1744 Charles Fitzroy-Scudamore (age 31) and Frances Scudamore 3rd Duchess Beaufort (age 33) were married. She brought Holme Lacy House [Map] to the marriage. He the son of Charles Fitzroy 2nd Duke Grafton (age 60). He a great grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland. 
On 06 Apr 1771 Charles Howard 11th Duke of Norfolk (age 25) and Frances Scudamore Duchess Norfolk (age 21) were married. She by marriage Duchess Beaufort. Shortly after their marriage she exhibited signs of mental instability from the time of her marriage and spent the rest of her life confined to Holme Lacy House [Map]. He the son of Charles Howard 10th Duke of Norfolk (age 50) and Catherine Brockholes Duchess Norfolk (age 52). She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland. 
On 22 Aug 1782 Charles Fitzroy-Scudamore (age 69) died. Holme Lacy House [Map] inherited Holme Lacy House [Map].
In 1820 Frances Scudamore Duchess Norfolk (age 70) died without issue. She was buried at St Cuthbert's Church, Holme Lacy [Map]. After a prolonged legal battle Edwyn Francis Scudamore-Stanhope 2nd Baronet (age 26) inherited Holme Lacy House [Map].
On 15 Feb 1900 Edwyn Scudamore Stanhope 10th Earl of Chesterfield (age 45) and Enid Edith Wilson Countess Chesterfield (age 21) were married at St Mark's Church North Audley Street. She by marriage Countess Chesterfield. They initially lived at Holme Lacy House [Map]. The difference in their ages was 24 years. He the son of Henry Edwyn Chandos Scudamore Stanhope 9th Earl of Chesterfield and Dorothea Hay Countess Chesterfield (age 72).
In 1902 Edwyn Scudamore Stanhope 10th Earl of Chesterfield (age 47) sold the contents of Holme Lacy House [Map]. He and his wife moved to Beningbrough Hall which had been given to them as a wedding present by her father Charles Henry Wilson 1st Baron Nunburnholme (age 68).
In 1909 Edwyn Scudamore Stanhope 10th Earl of Chesterfield (age 54) sold Holme Lacy House [Map].

On 24 Jan 1933 Edwyn Scudamore Stanhope 10th Earl of Chesterfield (age 78) died without issue. He was buried at St Cuthbert's Church Holme Lacy [Map]. His brother Henry Scudamore-Stanhope 11th Earl of Chesterfield (age 77) succeeded 11th Earl Chesterfield, 11th Baron Stanhope of Shelford in Nottinghamshire, 5th Baronet Stanhope of Stanwell.
