Baron Altham

In 1681 Altham Annesley 1st Baron Altham was created 1st Baron Altham. Alicia Leigh Baroness Altham (age 20) by marriage Baroness Altham.

In 1699 Altham Annesley 1st Baron Altham died. His son James Annesley 2nd Baron Altham succeeded 2nd Baron Altham.

In 1701 James Annesley 2nd Baron Altham died. His uncle Richard Annesley 3rd Baron Altham (age 46) succeeded 3rd Baron Altham. Dorothy Davey Baroness Altham (age 37) by marriage Baroness Altham.

On 19 Nov 1701 Richard Annesley 3rd Baron Altham (age 46) died. His son Arthur Annesley 4th Baron Altham (age 12) succeeded 4th Baron Altham.

Before 15 Apr 1715 Arthur Annesley 4th Baron Altham (age 26) and Mary Sheffield Baroness Altham (age 23) were married. She by marriage Baroness Altham. She the daughter of John Sheffield 1st Duke of Buckingham and Normanby (age 67) and Ursula Stawell Countess Mulgrave and Conway.

On 16 Nov 1727 Arthur Annesley 4th Baron Altham (age 38) died. His brother Richard Annesley 6th Earl Anglesey (age 34) succeeded 5th Baron Altham.

On 14 Feb 1761 Richard Annesley 6th Earl Anglesey (age 68) died. Earl Anglesey and Baron Annesley Newport Pagnell Buckinghamshire extinct. His son Arthur Annesley 1st Earl Mountnorris (age 16) succeeded 8th Viscount Valentia, 6th Baron Altham.

Arthur Annesley 1st Earl Mountnorris (age 16) didn't succeed as 7th Earl Anglesey since his parent's secret marriage in September 1741 was not supported by sufficient evidence for the English House of Lords to accept his legitimacy. He was subsequently created Earl Mountnorris of Mountnorris Castle in Armagh more or less in compensation.

He succeeded to the Irish titles Viscount Valentia and Baron Altham since the Irish House of Lords did believe his legitimacy.

On 10 May 1767 Arthur Annesley 1st Earl Mountnorris (age 22) and Lucy Lyttelton Baronet were married. She by marriage Baroness Altham. He the son of Richard Annesley 6th Earl Anglesey and Juliana Donovan Countess Anglesey.

On 04 Jul 1816 Arthur Annesley 1st Earl Mountnorris (age 71) died. His son George Annesley 2nd Earl Mountnorris (age 45) succeeded 2nd Earl Mountnorris of Mountnorris Castle in Armagh, 9th Viscount Valentia, 7th Baron Altham.

On 23 Jul 1844 George Annesley 2nd Earl Mountnorris (age 73) died. Earl Mountnorris of Mountnorris Castle in Armagh and Baron Altham extinct. His fourth cousin once removed Arthur Annesley 10th Viscount Valentia (age 58) succeeded 10th Viscount Valentia. Eleanor O'Brien Viscountess Valentia by marriage Viscountess Valentia.
