On 21 Jul 1628 John Savile 1st Baron Savile (age 72) was created 1st Baron Savile of Pomfret. Elizabeth Carey Baroness Savile (age 58) by marriage Baroness Savile of Pomfret.
In 1630 John Savile 1st Baron Savile (age 74) died. His son Thomas Savile 1st Earl of Sussex (age 39) succeeded 2nd Baron Savile of Pomfret.
Around 1659 Thomas Savile 1st Earl of Sussex (age 68) died. His son James Savile 2nd Earl of Sussex (age 12) succeeded 2nd Earl of Sussex, 3rd Baron Savile of Pomfret.
In 1671 James Savile 2nd Earl of Sussex (age 24) died without issue. Earl of Sussex and Baron Savile of Pomfret extinct.
Baron Savile of Elland (2nd Creation)

1st: George Savile 1st Marquess Halifax. Died 1695. Son.
2nd: William Savile 2nd Marquess Halifax. Died 1700. Extinct.
On 31 Dec 1677 George Savile 1st Marquess Halifax (age 44) was created 1st Viscount Halifax, 1st Baron Savile of Elland. Gertrude Pierrepont Marchioness Halifax by marriage Viscountess Halifax.
On 05 Apr 1695 George Savile 1st Marquess Halifax (age 61) died apparently as a consequence of eating undercooked chicken. He was buried in the north aisle of the King Henry VII Chapel, Westminster Abbey [Map]. His son William Savile 2nd Marquess Halifax (age 30) succeeded 2nd Marquess Halifax, 2nd Earl Halifax, 2nd Viscount Halifax, 2nd Baron Savile of Elland, 5th Baronet Savile of Thornhill. Mary Finch Duchess Roxburghe (age 18) by marriage Marchioness Halifax.
On 31 Aug 1700 William Savile 2nd Marquess Halifax (age 35) died without male issue. Marquess Halifax, Earl Halifax, Viscount Halifax and Baron Savile of Elland extinct. His first cousin twice removed John Savile 6th Baronet (age 50) succeeded 6th Baronet Savile of Thornhill
Baron Savile of Rufford in Nottinghamshire (3rd Creation)

1st: John Savile 1st Baron Savile. Died 1896. Nephew.
2nd: John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile. Died 1931.
In 1888 John Savile 1st Baron Savile (age 69) was created 1st Baron Savile of Rufford in Nottinghamshire with a special remainder to his nephew John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile (age 34) who subsequently inherited the title.
On 28 Nov 1896 John Savile 1st Baron Savile (age 78) died. His nephew John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile (age 43) succeeded 2nd Baron Savile of Rufford in Nottinghamshire.
