On 11 Aug 1660 William wheler 1st Baronet 1611 1666 (age 49) was created 1st Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster with a special remainder failing the heirs male of his body, "to Charles Wheeler (age 40) [rectius Wheler], cosin to the said Sir William and the heires males of the body of the said Sir Charles."

It appears there is no genealogical connection between John Newton 1st Baronet (age 50) and John Newton 2nd Baronet (age 34). The latter, apparently, paid a sum of money to inherit the Baronetcy.

On 31 Aug 1699 John Newton 2nd Baronet (age 73) died. His son John Newton 3rd Baronet (age 48) succeeded 3rd Baronet Newton of Barrs Court. Susanna Wharton Lady Newton (age 48) by marriage Lady Newton of Barrs Court.

On 12 Feb 1734 John Newton 3rd Baronet (age 83) died. He was buried at St Michael's Church, Heydour [Map]; his monument sculpted by John Michael Rysbrack (age 39). His son Michael Newton 4th Baronet (age 39) succeeded 4th Baronet Newton of Barrs Court. Margaret Coningsby 2nd Countess Coningsby (age 25) by marriage Lady Newton of Barrs Court.

John Newton 3rd Baronet: Around 1651 he was born to John Newton 2nd Baronet and Mary Eyre. Before 09 Jun 1680 he and Abigail Heveningham were married. On 23 Jan 1691 he and Susanna Wharton Lady Newton were married. On 31 Aug 1699 John Newton 2nd Baronet died. His son John Newton 3rd Baronet succeeded 3rd Baronet Newton of Barrs Court. Susanna Wharton Lady Newton by marriage Lady Newton of Barrs Court.

On 06 Apr 1743 Michael Newton 4th Baronet (age 48) died. Baronet Newton of Barrs Court extinct. He was buried at St Michael's Church, Heydour [Map]. Sculpted by Peter Scheemakers (age 52).
