Biography of Henry Frederick Thynne 1832-1904

On 19th April 1830 [his father] Henry Frederick Thynne 3rd Marquess of Bath (age 32) and [his mother] Harriet Baring Marchioness Bath (age 25) were married. He the son of [his grandfather] Thomas Thynne 2nd Marquess of Bath (age 65) and [his grandmother] Isabella Elizabeth Byng Marchioness Bath (age 56).

On 2nd August 1832 Henry Frederick Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne 3rd Marquess of Bath (age 35) and Harriet Baring Marchioness Bath (age 28).

On 24th June 1837 [his father] Henry Frederick Thynne 3rd Marquess of Bath (age 40) died. His son [his brother] John (age 6) succeeded 4th Marquess of Bath, 6th Viscount Weymouth, 6th Baron Thynne of Warminster in Wiltshire, 7th Baronet Thynne of Kempsford in Gloucestershire.

On 1st June 1858 Henry Frederick Thynne (age 25) and Ulrica Frederica Jane Seymour (age 25) were married. She the daughter of Edward Adolphus Seymour 12th Duke of Somerset (age 53) and Jane Georgiana Sheridan Duchess Somerset (age 48). He the son of Henry Frederick Thynne 3rd Marquess of Bath and Harriet Baring Marchioness Bath (age 54).

In 1859 Henry Frederick Thynne (age 26) was elected MP South Wiltshire.

On 14th April 1860 [his son] Henry Boteville Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne (age 27).

In 1861 [his son] Thomas Ulric Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne (age 28) and [his wife] Ulrica Frederica Jane Seymour (age 27).

On 14th June 1861 [his son] Thomas Ulric Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne (age 28).

Before 1st September 1863 [his son] John Alexander Roger Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne (age 31).

In 1864 [his son] John Alexander Roger Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne (age 31) and [his wife] Ulrica Frederica Jane Seymour (age 30).

On 6th July 1871 [his son] Ulric Oliver Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne (age 38).

In 1875 Henry Frederick Thynne (age 42) was appointed Treasurer of the Household.

In 1876 Henry Frederick Thynne (age 43) was appointed Privy Council.

On 8th May 1887 [his son] Henry Boteville Thynne (age 27) died.

In 1889 [his son-in-law] Alexander Edward Lane-Fox Pitt-Rivers (age 33) and [his daughter] Alice Ruth Hermione Thynne were married. He the son of Augustus Henry Fox Pitt-Rivers (age 61) and Alice Margaret Stanley (age 61).

On 2nd January 1892 [his mother] Harriet Baring Marchioness Bath (age 87) died.

In 1901 [his son] Oliver St Maur Thynne was born to Henry Frederick Thynne (age 68) and [his wife] Ulrica Frederica Jane Seymour (age 67).

In January 1904 Henry Frederick Thynne (age 71) died.

On 26th January 1916 [his former wife] Ulrica Frederica Jane Seymour (age 83) died.

The Times. 27th January 1916. The death of [his former wife] Lady Ulrica Thynne (deceased) took place on Wednesday at 30, Grosvenor-gardens. She was the second daughter of the [his former father-in-law] 12th Duke of Somerset and was born in 1833. She married, in 1858, Lord Henry Frederick Thynne, second son of the [his father] third Marquess of Bath, who was Treasurer of the Household to Queen Victoria and for over 25 years M.P. for South Wilts. There were four sons and two daughters of the marriage. The funeral will be at Findon, near Worthing, on Monday, at 1 o'clock.
