Published March 2025. The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

Before 1300 [his father] John Grey (age 28) and [his mother] Margaret Oddingseles Baroness Grey Rotherfield were married. She by marriage Baroness Grey of Rotherfield.

On 9th October 1300 John Grey 1st Baron Grey was born to John Grey (age 29) and Margaret Oddingseles Baroness Grey Rotherfield at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire. He a great x 3 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

On 17th October 1311 [his father] John Grey (age 40) died at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire.

Before 1st March 1312 John Grey 1st Baron Grey (age 11) and Catherine Fitzalan Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 12) were married. She by marriage Baroness Grey of Rotherfield.

Around 1316 [his son] John Grey 2nd Baron Grey was born to John Grey 1st Baron Grey (age 15) and [his wife] Catherine Fitzalan Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 16) at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire.

Around 1328 [his daughter] Maud Grey was born to John Grey 1st Baron Grey (age 27) and [his wife] Catherine Fitzalan Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 28) at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire. Date adjusted from 1338 to be consistent with mother's death around 1328.

On 7th August 1328 [his wife] Catherine Fitzalan Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 28) died.

In 1333 [his son-in-law] Richard Willoughby (age 43) and [his daughter] Joan Grey were married.

Around 1333 [his son] Robert Grey was born to John Grey 1st Baron Grey (age 32) and [his future wife] Avice Marmion Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 24).

In 1342 [his daughter] Joan Grey died at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire.

Before 1343 John Grey 1st Baron Grey (age 42) and Avice Marmion Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 33) were married. John Grey adopted Marmion as his surname. She by marriage Baroness Grey of Rotherfield. They were half fourth cousin once removed. He a great x 3 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. She a great x 3 granddaughter of King John of England.

In 1343 [his son] John Grey aka Marmion was born to John Grey 1st Baron Grey (age 42) and [his wife] Avice Marmion Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 34).

In or before 1347 [his son] John Grey 2nd Baron Grey (age 30) and [his daughter-in-law] Maud Burghesh Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 31) were married. She by marriage Baroness Grey of Rotherfield. Annales of England by John Stow. This yeere, on Saint Georges day [23rd April 1350], the king held a great and solemne feast at his castle of Windsor, where he had augmented the chappel which Henry the first and other his progenitors, kings of England, had before erected, of eight chanons. He added to those eight chanons a deane and fifteene chanons more, and 24 poore and impotent knights, with other ministers and servants, as appeareth in his charter dated the two and twentieth of his reigne. Roger, lorde Mortimer (age 21), earle of March, 9. sir John de Lisle (age 31), 10. sir Bartholomew Burwash (age 22), 11. sir John Beauchampe (age 34), 12. sir John Mahune (age 30), 13. sir Hugh Courtney, 14. sir Thomas Holland (age 36), 15. sir John Grey (age 49), 16. sir Richard Fitz Simon, 17. sir Miles Stapleton (age 30), 18. sir Thomas Walle (age 47), 19. sir Hugh Wrothesley (age 16), 20. sir Nele Loring (age 30), 21. sir John Chandos (age 30), 22. sir James de Audley (age 32), 23. sir Othes Holland (age 34), 24. sir Henry Eme, 25. sir Sechet Dabridgecourt (age 20), 26. sir Wiliam Panell (age 31). All these, together with the king, were clothed in gownes of russet, poudered with garters blew, wearing the like garters also on their right legges, and mantels of blew with scutcheons of S. George. In this sort of apparell they, being bare-headed, heard masse, which was celebrated by Simon Islip, archbishop of Canterbury, and the bishops of Winchester and Excester, and afterwards they went to the feast, setting themselves orderly at the table, for the honor of the feast, which they named to be of S. George the martyr and the choosing of the knights of the Garter.

On 1st September 1359 John Grey 1st Baron Grey (age 58) died at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire. On 1st September 1359 His son [his son] John (age 43) succeeded 2nd Baron Grey of Rotherfield.

On 20th March 1378 [his former wife] Avice Marmion Baroness Grey Rotherfield (age 69) died.

[his daughter] Joan Grey was born to John Grey 1st Baron Grey and Avice Marmion Baroness Grey Rotherfield at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire.
