Paternal Family Tree: Lumley
On 29th May 1849 [his father] Reverend Frederick Savile-Lumley [aged 30] and [his mother] Mary Jenkins were married at St George's Church, Hanover Square. He the illegitmate son of [his grandfather] John Lumley-Savile 8th Earl Scarborough [aged 60].
On 20th September 1853 John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile was born to [his father] Reverend Frederick Savile-Lumley [aged 34] and [his mother] Mary Jenkins.
In 1859 [his father] Reverend Frederick Savile-Lumley [aged 39] died.
In 1888 [his uncle] John Savile 1st Baron Savile [aged 69] was created 1st Baron Savile of Rufford in Nottinghamshire with a special remainder to his nephew John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile [aged 34] who subsequently inherited the title.
On 3rd November 1894 John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile [aged 41] and Gertrude Violet Webster-Wedderburn were married.
On 28th November 1896 [his uncle] John Savile 1st Baron Savile [aged 78] died. His nephew John [aged 43] succeeded 2nd Baron Savile of Rufford in Nottinghamshire.
On 16th October 1912 [his wife] Gertrude Violet Webster-Wedderburn died.
Before 1st February 1916 Captain Claude Levita and [his future wife] Esmé Grace Virginia Wolton Baroness Savile were married.
William of Worcester's Chronicle of England
William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.

On 1st February 1916 John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile [aged 62] and Esmé Grace Virginia Wolton Baroness Savile were married.
On 24th January 1919 [his son] George Lumley-Savile 3rd Baron Savile was born to John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile [aged 65] and [his wife] Esmé Grace Virginia Wolton Baroness Savile.
On 22nd May 1922 [his mother] Mary Jenkins died.
On 2nd October 1923 [his son] Henry Leoline Lumley-Savile was born to John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile [aged 70]. He married (1) 1st March 1946 Presiley June Inchbald and had issue (2) 4th January 1961 Caroline Jeffie Clive (3) 31st July 1972 Margaret Ann Phillips.

On 3rd April 1931 John Savile Lumley-Savile 2nd Baron Savile [aged 77] died. His son George [aged 12] succeeded 3rd Baron Savile of Rufford in Nottinghamshire. Esmé Grace Virginia Wolton Baroness Savile by marriage Baroness Savile of Rufford in Nottinghamshire.
On 18th January 1958 [his former wife] Esmé Grace Virginia Wolton Baroness Savile died.
