On 29th April 1643 William Fitzwilliam 1st was born to [his father] William Fitzwilliam 2nd Baron Fitzwilliam (age 34).
On 21st February 1658 [his father] William Fitzwilliam 2nd Baron Fitzwilliam (age 49) died. His son William (age 14) succeeded 3rd Baron Fitzwilliam of Liffer in Donegal.
In 1667 William Fitzwilliam 1st (age 23) was elected MP Peterborough which seat he held until 1679.
On 10th May 1669 William Fitzwilliam 1st (age 26) and Anne Cremor were married.
In 1681 William Fitzwilliam 1st (age 37) was elected MP Peterborough.
Around 1685 [his son] John Fitzwilliam 2nd Earl Fitzwilliam was born to William Fitzwilliam 1st (age 41) and [his wife] Anne Cremor. He married 17th September 1718 Anne Stringer and had issue.
In or after 1700 [his son-in-law] Charles Barrington 5th Baronet (age 29) and [his daughter] Anna-Maria Fitzwilliam Lady Barrington were married. She the daughter of William Fitzwilliam 1st Earl Fitzwilliam (age 56) and [his wife] Anne Cremor.
On 21st July 1716 William Fitzwilliam 1st (age 73) was created 1st Earl Fitzwilliam.

Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans
Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. His text also includes Loveday, Blore Heath, Northampton, the Act of Accord, Wakefield, and Towton, and ends with the Coronation of King Edward IV. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.

On 17th September 1718 [his son] John Fitzwilliam 2nd Earl Fitzwilliam (age 33) and [his daughter-in-law] Anne Stringer were married. He the son of William Fitzwilliam 1st Earl Fitzwilliam (age 75) and [his wife] Anne Cremor.
On 28th December 1719 William Fitzwilliam 1st (age 76) died. His son John (age 34) succeeded 2nd Earl Fitzwilliam, 4th Baron Fitzwilliam of Liffer in Donegal.
