Maternal Family Tree: Anne Reade 1510-1585
On 28th April 1603 [his father] Edmund Paston (age 18) and [his mother] Katherine Knyvet (age 24) were married. They were fourth cousin once removed.
In 1610 William Paston 1st Baronet was born to Edmund Paston (age 25) and Katherine Knyvet (age 31).
On 10th March 1629 [his mother] Katherine Knyvet (age 50) died. Monument in St Margaret's Church, Paston [Map] sculpted by Nicholas Stone (age 42). His diary ... made a tomb for my lady Paston ... veryy extraordinary entertained, and pay'd for it £340. The inscription is by John Donne (age 57): To the Reviving Memory of the virtuous and right worth Lady, Dame Katherine Paston, daughter unto the Right Worp'll Sir Thomas Knevitt, Knt., and wife to Sir Edmund Paston, Knight with whom she lived in wedlock 26 years and issue two sonnes yet surviving, vizt. William and Thomas, She departed this life the 10th day of March, 1628, and lyeth here intombed expecting a Joyful Resurrection.

Katherine Knyvet: On or before 22nd June 1578 she was born to Thomas Knyvet 4th Baron Berners and Muriel Parry. On 22nd June 1578 she was baptised at Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk. On 28th April 1603 Edmund Paston and she were married. They were fourth cousin once removed. In 1611 Edmund Paston and Katherine Knyvet moved into Paston Hall on the death of his grandfather Christopher Paston.
In 1631 William Paston 1st Baronet (age 21) and Lady Katherine Bertie were married. She the daughter of Robert Bertie 1st Earl Lindsey (age 48) and Elizabeth Montagu Countess Lindsey.
On 29th May 1631 [his son] Robert Paston 1st Earl of Yarmouth was born to William Paston 1st Baronet (age 21) and [his wife] Lady Katherine Bertie.
In 1632 [his father] Edmund Paston (age 47) died. Monument in St Margaret's Church, Paston [Map].
Edmund Paston: In 1585 he was born to Christopher Paston.
In 1636 [his wife] Lady Katherine Bertie died in childbirth. Memorial in the Church of St Michael, Oxnead [Map]. Bust carved by Nicholas Stone (age 49).

Lady Katherine Bertie: she was born to Robert Bertie 1st Earl Lindsey and Elizabeth Montagu Countess Lindsey. In 1631 William Paston 1st Baronet and she were married. She the daughter of Robert Bertie 1st Earl Lindsey and Elizabeth Montagu Countess Lindsey.
In 1642 William Paston 1st Baronet (age 32) was created 1st Baronet Paston of Paston and Oxnead.
On 15th June 1650 [his son] Robert Paston 1st Earl of Yarmouth (age 19) and [his daughter-in-law] Rebecca Clayton Countess Yarmouth (age 15) were married.
John Evelyn's Diary. 22nd April 1656. Came to see Mr. Henshaw (age 38) and Sir William Paston's (age 46) [his son] son (age 24), since Earl of Yarmouth. Afterward, I went to see his Majesty's (age 25) house at Eltham [Map], both palace and chapel in miserable ruins, the noble woods and park destroyed by Rich (age 68), the rebel.
John Evelyn's Diary. 30th December 1656. Dined with me Sir William Paston's (age 46) [his son] son (age 25), Mr. Henshaw (age 38), and Mr. Clayton.
In 1663 William Paston 1st Baronet (age 53) died. His son [his son] Robert (age 31) succeeded 2nd Baronet Paston of Paston and Oxnead.
