On 19th December 1845 James Archibald Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 1st Baron Wharncliffe (age 69) died. He was buried at the Church of St Leonard, Wortley [Map].His son John (age 44) succeeded 2nd Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire. Georgiana Elizabeth Ryder Baroness Wharncliffe (age 41) by marriage Baroness Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire.
On 22nd October 1855 John Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 2nd Baron Wharncliffe (age 54) died. He was buried at the Church of St Leonard, Wortley [Map].His son Edward (age 27) succeeded 3rd Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire.
On 13th May 1899 Edward Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 1st Earl Wharncliffe (age 71) died without issue. His nephew Francis (age 42) succeeded 2nd Earl Wharncliffe, 4th Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire. Ellen Gallwey Countess of Wharncliffe (age 36) by marriage Countess Wharncliffe.
On 8th May 1926 Francis Montagu Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 2nd Earl of Wharncliffe (age 69) died. His son Archibald (age 34) succeeded 3rd Earl Wharncliffe, 5th Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire.
On 16th May 1953 Archibald Montagu Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 3rd Earl of Wharncliffe (age 61) died. His son Alan (age 18) succeeded 4th Earl Wharncliffe, 6th Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire.
On 3rd June 1987 Alan Montagu Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 4th Earl of Wharncliffe (age 52) died at Wharncliffe House, Wortley. He was buried at the Church of St Leonard, Wortley [Map]. His second cousin once removed Richard (age 34) succeeded 5th Earl Wharncliffe, 7th Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire.
