In 1622 John Hotham 1st Baronet (age 32) was created 1st Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

Trial and Execution of the Hothams

In December 1644 Parliament decided to execute the Hothams, father and son, John Hotham 1st Baronet (age 55) and John Hotham (age 34).

On 1st January 1645 John Hotham was beheaded for treason by Parliamentarians at Tower Hill [Map]. His father was executed the next day.

On 2nd January 1645 John Hotham 1st Baronet was beheaded for treason by Parliamentarians; his son having been executed the previous day. His grandson John (age 12) succeeded 2nd Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

On 29th September 1689 John Hotham 2nd Baronet (age 57) died. He was buried in St Mary's Church, South Dalton. His son John (age 34) succeeded 3rd Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

On 25th August 1691 John Hotham 3rd Baronet (age 36) died. His first cousin once removed Charles (age 28) succeeded 4th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

After 1701 Charles Hotham 4th Baronet (age 38) and Mildred Cecil Baroness Hotham were married. She by marriage Lady Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire. She the daughter of James Cecil 3rd Earl Salisbury and Margaret Manners Countess of Salisbury.

On 8th January 1723 Charles Hotham 4th Baronet (age 60) died. His son Charles (age 29) succeeded 5th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

In 1724 Charles Hotham 5th Baronet (age 30) and Gertrude Stanhope Baroness Hotham (age 29) were married. She by marriage Lady Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire. She the daughter of Philip Stanhope 3rd Earl Chesterfield (age 50) and Elizabeth Savile. They were fourth cousin twice removed.

On 15th January 1738 Charles Hotham 5th Baronet (age 44) died. His son Charles succeeded 6th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

In 1767 Charles Hotham 6th Baronet died. His uncle Beaumont (age 61) succeeded 7th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

On 29th August 1771 Beaumont Hotham 7th Baronet (age 65) died. His son Charles (age 36) succeeded 8th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

On 25th January 1794 Charles Hotham-Thompson 8th Baronet (age 59) died. His brother John (age 58) succeeded 9th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

On 3rd November 1795 Bishop John Hotham 9th Baronet (age 59) died at Bath, Somerset [Map]. He was buried at St Mary's Church, South Dalton. His son Charles (age 29) succeeded 10th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

On 18th July 1811 Charles Hotham 10th Baronet (age 45) died. His uncle William (age 75) succeeded 11th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

In May 1813 William Hotham 1st Baron Hotham (age 77) died. His brother Beaumont (age 75) succeeded 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton in Yorkshire, 12th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

On 4th March 1814 Beaumont Hotham 2nd Baron Hotham (age 76) died. His grandson Beaumont (age 19) succeeded 3rd Baron Hotham of South Dalton in Yorkshire, 13th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.

Letitia Sibell Winifred Brownlow-Cecil Baroness Hotham (age 19) by marriage Baroness Hotham of South Dalton in Yorkshire.

On 18th November 1967 Henry Hotham 7th Baron Hotham (age 68) died. His son Henry (age 27) succeeded 8th Baron Hotham of South Dalton in Yorkshire, 18th Baronet Hotham of Scorborough in Yorkshire.
