Published March 2025. The Deeds of King Henry V, or in Latin Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

On 16 Aug 1763 Prince Frederick Hanover Duke of York was born to King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 25) and Charlotte Mecklenburg Strelitz Queen Consort England (age 19).

In 1771 Prince Frederick Hanover Duke of York (age 7) was appointed 591st Knight of the Garter by [his father] King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 32).

On 29 Sep 1791 Prince Frederick Hanover Duke of York (age 28) and Frederica Charlotte Hohenzollern (age 24) were married at Charlottenburg, Berlin. She the daughter of Frederick William II King Prussia (age 47) and Crown Princess Elisabeth Christine of Prussia (age 44). He the son of King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 53) and Charlotte Mecklenburg Strelitz Queen Consort England (age 47). They were third cousins. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King George I of Great Britain and Ireland.

On 23 Nov 1791 Prince Frederick Hanover Duke of York (age 28) and [his wife] Frederica Charlotte Hohenzollern (age 24) were married at Buckingham Palace [Map].

Siege of Valciennes

Between 13 Jun 1793 and 28 Jul 1793 the French garrison at Valciennes under Jean Henri Becays Ferrand was blockaded by part of the army of Prince Frederick Josias Saxe Coburg Saalfeld (age 55), commanded by the Prince Frederick Hanover Duke of York (age 29).

On 24 Dec 1793 [his brother-in-law] Frederick William III King Prussia (age 23) and Queen Louise of Prussia (age 17) were married. He the son of [his father-in-law] Frederick William II King Prussia (age 49) and Queen Frederica Louisa of Prussia (age 42). They were half second cousins. He a great x 2 grandson of King George I of Great Britain and Ireland.

On 16 Nov 1797 [his father-in-law] Frederick William II King Prussia (age 53) died. His son [his brother-in-law] Frederick (age 27) succeeded II King Prussia.

In 1814 [his brother-in-law] Frederick William III King Prussia (age 43) was appointed 644th Knight of the Garter by [his brother] King George IV of Great Britain and Ireland (age 51) during the Regency..

On 17 Nov 1818 [his mother] Charlotte Mecklenburg Strelitz Queen Consort England (age 74) died.

In 1820 [his wife] Frederica Charlotte Hohenzollern (age 53) died.

Death of King George III

On 29 Jan 1820 [his father] King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 81) died at Windsor Castle [Map]. His reign the third longest after Victoria and Elizabeth II. His son [his brother] George (age 57) succeeded IV King Great Britain and Ireland. Caroline of Brunswick Queen Consort England (age 51) by marriage Queen Consort England.

On 05 Jan 1827 Prince Frederick Hanover Duke of York (age 63) died.

Monument to Prince Frederick Hanover Duke of York. Sculpted by Thomas Campbell and unveiled in 1836.

The inscription on the front (south) face reads "Field Marshal his Royal Highness Frederick Duke of York and Albany, K.G. Commander in Chief of the British Army, MDCCCXXVII". On the rear (north) an inscription simply states "Erected MDCCCXXXVI".
