He the son of [his grandfather] Charles William Vane 3rd Marquess Londonderry (age 68) and [his grandmother] Frances Vane Tempest Marchioness Londonderry (age 46).
On 16th July 1852 Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart 6th Marquess Londonderry was born to George Henry Vane-Tempest 5th Marquess Londonderry (age 31) and Mary Cornelia Edwards Marchioness Londonderry (age 23).

She the daughter of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot (age 45) and Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 39). He the son of George Henry Vane-Tempest 5th Marquess Londonderry (age 54) and Mary Cornelia Edwards Marchioness Londonderry (age 46).
On 8th September 1876 [his daughter] Helen Vane-Tempest-Stewart Countess Ilchester was born to Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart 6th Marquess Londonderry (age 24) and [his wife] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 20).
On 11th May 1877 [his father-in-law] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot (age 47) died. His son [his brother-in-law] Charles (age 16) succeeded 20th Earl of Shrewsbury, 20th Earl Waterford, 5th Earl Talbot, 5th Viscount Ingestre, 7th Baron Talbot of Hensol in Glamorganshire.
On 13th May 1878 [his son] Charles Vane-Tempest-Stewart 7th Marquess of Londonderry was born to Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart 6th Marquess Londonderry (age 25) and [his wife] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 21).
On 4th December 1879 [his son] Charles Stewart Reginald Vane-Tempest-Stewart was born to Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart 6th Marquess Londonderry (age 27) and [his wife] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 23).
In June 1882 [his brother-in-law] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 20th Earl of Shrewsbury 5th Earl Talbot (age 21) and Ellen Palmer Morewood Countess Shrewsbury Waterford Talbot (age 25) were married. She being older, already married, with a child. He being nineteen. They eloped. Their first child born three months after the marriage. She by marriage Countess of Shrewsbury, Countess Waterford, Countess Talbot. He the son of [his father-in-law] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 19th Earl of Shrewsbury 4th Earl Talbot and [his mother-in-law] Anna Theresa Cockerell Countess Shrewsbury and Waterford (age 46).
On 6th November 1884 [his father] George Henry Vane-Tempest 5th Marquess Londonderry (age 63) died. His son Charles (age 32) succeeded 6th Marquess Londonderry. [his wife] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 28) by marriage Marchioness Londonderry.
In 1888 Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart 6th Marquess Londonderry (age 35) was appointed 791st Knight of the Garter by Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom (age 68).

On 25th January 1902 [his son-in-law] Giles Fox-Strangways 6th Earl of Ilchester (age 27) and [his daughter] Helen Vane-Tempest-Stewart Countess Ilchester (age 25) were married. She the daughter of Charles Stewart Vane-Tempest-Stewart 6th Marquess Londonderry (age 49) and [his wife] Theresa Susey Helen Chetwynd-Talbot Marchioness Londonderry (age 45). He the son of Henry Edward Fox-Strangways 5th Earl of Ilchester (age 54).

The Times. 2nd February 1905. The funeral of [his brother] Lord Henry Vane-Tempest (deceased) took place yesterday in the family vault in St. Peter's [Map], Montgomeryshire. The Bishop of Bangor (age 59), assisted by the Rev J. Williams, rector of the parish, and the Rev. S. J. Evans, officiated. The principal mourmers were the Marquis (age 52) and [his wife] Marchioness of Londonderry (age 48) (brother and sister-in-law), [his brother] Lord Herbert Vane-Tempest (age 42) (brother), and Mr. Beaumont (age 44), M.P., and [his sister] Lady Aline Beaumont (age 41) (brother-in-law and sister). Continues.
In 1906 [his mother] Mary Cornelia Edwards Marchioness Londonderry (age 77) died.

9th February 1915. Times Newspaper Obituaries. The news of the death of the Marquess of Londonderry (deceased), which occurred at Wynyard, Stockton-on-Tees, yesterday morning, will be received with profound regret far beyond the circle of his personal friends or of the members of the Unionist Party. Lord Londonderry had not been entirely well for some little time past. For a fortnight, it seems, he had been suffering from sciatica. Last week he caught a chill, from which pneumonia developed. On Sunday his condition was seen to be critical. During the night he collapsed, and the end came at 9.30 yesterday morning. [his former wife] Lady Londonderry (age 58), who had been in constant attendance on him during his illness, was present at the last, as also were [his daughter] Lady Ilchester (age 38) and [his brother] Lord Herbert Vane-Tempest (age 52).
