Biography of Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham 1797-1876

Paternal Family Tree: Burton

On 5th July 1794 [his father] Henry Conyngham 1st Marquess Conyngham (age 27) and [his mother] Elizabeth Denison Marchioness Conyngham (age 25) were married.

On 11th June 1797 Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham was born to Henry Conyngham 1st Marquess Conyngham (age 30) and Elizabeth Denison Marchioness Conyngham (age 28).

On 23rd April 1824 Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 26) and Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 25) were married. She the daughter of Henry William Paget 1st Marquess Anglesey (age 55) and Caroline Elizabeth Villiers Duchess Argyll (age 49). He the son of Henry Conyngham 1st Marquess Conyngham (age 57) and Elizabeth Denison Marchioness Conyngham (age 55).

On 3rd February 1825 [his son] George Henry Conyngham 3rd Marquess Conyngham was born to Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 27) and [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 26).

On 1st June 1826 [his daughter] Jane Conyngham Baroness Churchill was born to Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 28) and [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 27).

In 1831 [his daughter] Elizabeth Georgiana Conyngham Countess Winchelsea was born to Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 33) and [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 32).

On 4th August 1832 John Robert Townshend 1st Earl Sydney (age 26) and [his illegitimate sister-in-law] Emily Paget Countess Sydney (age 22) were married. She the illegitmate daughter of [his father-in-law] Henry William Paget 1st Marquess Anglesey (age 64) and Charlotte Cadogan Marchioness Anglesey (age 51).

On 28th December 1832 [his father] Henry Conyngham 1st Marquess Conyngham (age 66) died. His son Francis (age 35) succeeded 2nd Marquess Conyngham in Donegal, 4th Baron Conyngham, 2nd Baron Minster of Minster Abbey in Kent. [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 34) by marriage Marchioness Conyngham in Donegal.

On 27th August 1833 [his brother-in-law] Henry Paget 2nd Marquess Anglesey (age 36) and Henrietta Bagot Marchioness Anglesey were married. He the son of [his father-in-law] Henry William Paget 1st Marquess Anglesey (age 65) and [his mother-in-law] Caroline Elizabeth Villiers Duchess Argyll (age 58). They were fifth cousin once removed.

Death of King William IV Succession of Queen Victoria

On 20th June 1837 King William IV of the United Kingdom (age 71) died at Windsor Castle [Map]. His niece Victoria (age 18) succeeded I Queen Great Britain and Ireland. His brother Ernest (age 66) succeeded King Hanover. Frederica Mecklenburg Strelitz Queen Consort Hanover (age 59) by marriage Queen Consort Hanover.

At 5am Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 40) and Archbishop William Howley (age 71) went to Kensington Palace to inform the Princess she was now Queen. Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham was the first to address her as 'Your Majesty'.

On 6th September 1838 John William Montagu 7th Earl Sandwich (age 26) and [his sister-in-law] Mary Paget Countess Sandwich (age 26) were married. She by marriage Countess Sandwich. She the daughter of [his father-in-law] Henry William Paget 1st Marquess Anglesey (age 70) and Charlotte Cadogan Marchioness Anglesey (age 57). He the son of George Montagu 6th Earl Sandwich and Louisa Lowry-Corry Countess of Sandwich (age 57).

On 19th May 1849 [his son-in-law] Francis George Spencer 2nd Baron Churchill (age 47) and [his daughter] Jane Conyngham Baroness Churchill (age 22) were married. The difference in their ages was 24 years. She the daughter of Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 51) and [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 50). They were fourth cousin once removed. He a great x 4 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 29th April 1854 [his father-in-law] Henry William Paget 1st Marquess Anglesey (age 85) died. His son [his brother-in-law] Henry (age 56) succeeded 2nd Marquess Anglesey, 3rd Earl Uxbridge, 11th Baron Paget Beaudasert, 5th Baronet Bayly of Plas Newydd in Anglesey. Henrietta Bagot Marchioness Anglesey by marriage Marchioness Anglesey.

On 17th June 1854 [his son] George Henry Conyngham 3rd Marquess Conyngham (age 29) and [his daughter-in-law] Jane St Maur Blanche Stanhope Marchioness Conyngham (age 21) were married. She the daughter of Charles Stanhope 4th Earl of Harrington and Maria Foote Countess Harrington. He the son of Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 57) and [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 55).

On 20th February 1859 [his sister-in-law] Mary Paget Countess Sandwich (age 46) died. Her remains were moved to All Saints Church, Barnwell [Map] on 16th June 1884.

On 18th July 1861 [his son-in-law] Theodore Brinckman 2nd Baronet (age 30) and [his daughter] Cecilia Augusta Conyngham were married at St George's Church, Hanover Square. She the daughter of Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 64) and [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 62). They were fifth cousins.

On 11th October 1861 [his mother] Elizabeth Denison Marchioness Conyngham (age 92) died.

On 7th February 1869 [his brother-in-law] Henry Paget 2nd Marquess Anglesey (age 71) died. His son Henry (age 47) succeeded 3rd Marquess Anglesey, 4th Earl Uxbridge, 12th Baron Paget Beaudasert, 6th Baronet Bayly of Plas Newydd in Anglesey. Sophia Eversfield Marchioness Anglesey (age 50) by marriage Marchioness Anglesey.

On 12th March 1874 [his sister-in-law] Caroline Paget Duchess Richmond (age 77) died.

On 28th January 1876 [his wife] Jane Paget Marchioness Conyngham (age 77) died.

On 17th July 1876 Francis Nathaniel Conyngham 2nd Marquess Conyngham (age 79) died. His son [his son] George (age 51) succeeded 3rd Marquess Conyngham in Donegal, 5th Baron Conyngham, 3rd Baron Minster of Minster Abbey in Kent. [his daughter-in-law] Jane St Maur Blanche Stanhope Marchioness Conyngham (age 43) by marriage Marchioness Conyngham in Donegal.
