Biography of Robert Beaumont 3rd Earl of Leicester -1190

On 05 Apr 1168 [his father] Robert Beaumont 2nd Earl of Leicester (age 64) died. His son Robert succeeded 3rd Earl of Leicester.

Around 31 Aug 1168 [his mother] Amice Gael Countess Leicester died.

Before 1186 Robert Beaumont 3rd Earl of Leicester and Petronilla Grandesmil Countess Leicester (age 50) were married. She by marriage Countess of Leicester. He the son of Robert Beaumont 2nd Earl of Leicester and Amice Gael Countess Leicester.

In or before 1186 [his son-in-law] Saer Quincy 1st Earl Winchester (age 15) and [his daughter] Margaret Beaumont Countess Winchester were married. She the daughter of Robert Beaumont 3rd Earl of Leicester and [his wife] Petronilla Grandesmil Countess Leicester (age 50).

Gesta Regis Henrici 1189. And after them came three earls, whose names are these: David (age 36), brother of the King of Scots, Earl of Huntingdon; Robert, Earl of Leicester; and in the midst of them went John (age 22), Earl of Mortain and Gloucester, carrying three swords with golden scabbards taken from the royal treasury.

On 01 Apr 1212 [his former wife] Petronilla Grandesmil Countess Leicester (age 77) died.
