In 1825 [his father] John Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 2nd Baron Wharncliffe (age 23) and [his mother] Georgiana Elizabeth Ryder Baroness Wharncliffe (age 21) were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Dudley Ryder 1st Earl of Harrowby (age 62) and [his grandmother] Susanna Leveson-Gower Countess Harrowby Lincolnshire (age 52). They were third cousin once removed.
On 15 Dec 1827 Edward Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 1st Earl Wharncliffe was born to John Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 2nd Baron Wharncliffe (age 26) and Georgiana Elizabeth Ryder Baroness Wharncliffe (age 23).

On 22 Feb 1857 [his father-in-law] Henry Lascelles 3rd Earl Harewood (age 59) died. His son [his brother-in-law] Henry Thynne Lascelles 4th Earl Harewood (age 32) succeeded 4th Earl Harewood in Yorkshire, 4th Viscount Lascelles, 4th Baron Harewood of Harewood in Yorkshire.
On 21 Apr 1858 [his brother-in-law] Henry Thynne Lascelles 4th Earl Harewood (age 33) and Diana Smyth Countess Harewood (age 20) were married. She by marriage Countess Harewood in Yorkshire. He the son of [his father-in-law] Henry Lascelles 3rd Earl Harewood and [his mother-in-law] Louisa Thynne Countess Harewood (age 57). On 12 Jul 1859 Henry Bentinck Boyle 5th Earl Shannon (age 25) and [his sister-in-law] Blanche Emma Lascelles Countess Shannon (age 22) were married. She the daughter of [his father-in-law] Henry Lascelles 3rd Earl Harewood and [his mother-in-law] Louisa Thynne Countess Harewood (age 58). He the son of Richard Boyle 4th Earl Shannon (age 50) and Emily Henrietta Seymour-Conway Countess Shannon. He a great x 4 grandson of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.
In 1863 [his sister-in-law] Blanche Emma Lascelles Countess Shannon (age 26) died.
On 01 Aug 1868 Richard Boyle 4th Earl Shannon (age 59) died. His son Henry Bentinck Boyle 5th Earl Shannon (age 34) succeeded 5th Earl Shannon. [his sister-in-law] Blanche Emma Lascelles Countess Shannon by marriage Countess Shannon.

On 24 Jun 1892 [his brother-in-law] Henry Thynne Lascelles 4th Earl Harewood (age 68) died. His son Henry Ulrick Lascelles 5th Earl Harewood (age 45) succeeded 5th Earl Harewood in Yorkshire, 5th Viscount Lascelles, 5th Baron Harewood of Harewood in Yorkshire. Florence Katharine Bridgeman Countess Harewood (age 33) by marriage Countess Harewood in Yorkshire.
On 13 May 1899 Edward Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 1st Earl Wharncliffe (age 71) died without issue. His nephew Francis Montagu Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie 2nd Earl of Wharncliffe (age 42) succeeded 2nd Earl Wharncliffe, 4th Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley in Yorkshire.
