Before 1338 [his father] Patrick Dunbar 9th Earl March (age 52) and [his mother] Agnes "Black Agnes" Randolph Countess March (age 25) were married. She by marriage Countess Dunbar aka March 1C. The difference in their ages was 27 years. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Thomas Randolph 1st Earl of Moray and [his grandmother] Isabella Stewart Countess Moray.

In 1338 George Dunbar 10th Earl March was born to Patrick Dunbar 9th Earl March (age 53) and Agnes "Black Agnes" Randolph Countess March (age 26).

In 1369 [his father] Patrick Dunbar 9th Earl March (age 84) died. His son George (age 31) succeeded 10th Earl Dunbar aka March 1C.

In 1369 [his mother] Agnes "Black Agnes" Randolph Countess March (age 57) died.

Before 1370 George Dunbar 10th Earl March (age 31) and Christina Wyntoun Countess Dunbar were married. He the son of Patrick Dunbar 9th Earl March and Agnes "Black Agnes" Randolph Countess March.

Around 1370 [his son] George Dunbar 11th Earl of March was born to George Dunbar 10th Earl March (age 32) and [his wife] Christina Wyntoun Countess Dunbar.

Around 1388 [his son] David Dunbar was born to George Dunbar 10th Earl March (age 50) and [his wife] Christina Wyntoun Countess Dunbar.

Froissart Book 13. Before 5th August 1388. Now let us speak of the earl Douglas (age 30) and other, for they had more to do than they that went by Carlisle, Cumberland [Map]. When the earls of Douglas, of [his brother] Moray (age 46), of March, and Dunbar (age 50)¹ departed from the great host, they took their way thinking to pass the water and to enter into the bishopric of Durham, and to ride to the town and then to return, brenning and exiling the country and so to come to Newcastle [Map] and to lodge there in the town in the despite of all the Englishmen. And as they determined, so they did assay to put it in use, for they rode a great pace under covert without doing of any pillage by the way or assaulting of any castle, tower or house, but so came into the lord Percy's land and passed the river of Tyne without any let a three leagues above Newcastle not far from Brancepeth, and at last entered into the bishopric of Durham, where they found a good country. Then they began to make war, to slay people and to bren villages and to do many sore displeasures.

Around 1390 [his daughter] Janet Dunbar was born to George Dunbar 10th Earl March (age 52) and [his wife] Christina Wyntoun Countess Dunbar.

Battle of Nesbit Moor

On 22nd June 1402 George Dunbar 10th Earl March (age 64) commanded a force of around 200 men from the Berwick garrison who defeated a Scottish army of around 400 men at Nisbet during the Battle of Nesbit Moor. Patrick "Younger" of Hailes Hepburn (age 50) was killed. John Cockburn, Thomas Haliburton, John Haliburton and Robert Lawedre were captured.

                    My most excellent and redoubted sovereign lord,.
                
                    I recommend myself to you as entirely as terrestrial creature can think or devise to the crowned king of the world, humbly thanking you on my knees for the high favours and benefits that you have conferred upon me before this time, piously supplicating for your gracious continuance, and particularly for the gracious refreshment which you lately sent. May God reward you for it, since I cannot.
                
                    My most gracious lord, may it please you to know that my lord my husband (age 65) and I have been in such hardships and distress since we were banished from our country, that I am yet involved in heavy debt, from which without your gracious aid and succour I cannot deliver myself; and now the pestilence is so violent and severe where we are, that I am very fearful lest I shoald die in this great debt that I have incurred. And by no intreaty that we can make can we obtain sufferance from our enemies to retire to our fortress of Colbrandspath [Map], there to wait till the mortality has ceased. And for this cause I humbly entreat your high royal majesty that you will be pleased to have me in remembrance when you shall find leisure, and help me, that by your gracious relief I may be freed from the debt which makes me sad. Besides this, my most redoubted and gracious lord, we suffer great enmity on account of the death of Sir Henry Percy (age 38), which oftentimes is so heavy to my husband and his people, that they wish themselves dead, if they may not retire from this country, seeing that the people of the said Sir Henry Percy do nothing but hear comfortable news of you, in order then to do the malice that is in their hearts. And, my most gracious and sovereign lord, touching the capture of our people by those attending on the Earl of Douglas (age 13) deign to give credence to the bearer of this, and ordain such remedy as you please, according to what the said bearer shall tell you by word of mouth. And I pray most earnestly the ever-blessed God of Heaven to grant you a long life, with all increase of honour and joy, together with victory over yoar enemies; and after this mprtal life may he grant you the kingdom of glory.
