Around 1375 Henry Sinclair 2nd Earl Orkney was born.
Around 1398 [his daughter] Beatrix Sinclair Countess Douglas and Avondale was born to Henry Sinclair 2nd Earl Orkney (age 23) and [his future wife] Egidia "Fair Maid of Nithsdale" Douglas Countess Orkney (age 18).
On 14th September 1402 Henry Percy 1st Earl of Northumberland (age 60) and his son Henry "Hotspur" Percy (age 38) lay in wait at Homildon Hill, Northumberland [Map] for the Scots to return from their laying waste to Northumberland. The Battle of Homildon Hill was a victory for the English forces whose longbowmen decimated the Scottish schiltrons. Henry Fitzhugh 3rd Baron Fitzhugh (age 44) fought for the English.

In 1410 [his son] William Sinclair 3rd Earl Orkney 1st Earl Caithness was born to Henry Sinclair 2nd Earl Orkney (age 35) and [his wife] Egidia "Fair Maid of Nithsdale" Douglas Countess Orkney (age 30).
Around 1420 Henry Sinclair 2nd Earl Orkney (age 45) died. His son [his son] William (age 10) succeeded 3rd Earl Orkney.
Around 1438 [his former wife] Egidia "Fair Maid of Nithsdale" Douglas Countess Orkney (age 58) died.
Alexander Stewart and Egidia "Fair Maid of Nithsdale" Douglas Countess Orkney were married. He the son of Murdoch Stewart 2nd Duke Albany and Isabel Countess Lennox Duchess Albany. They were half first cousin once removed. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King John of England.
