Before 1504 George Carew was born to William Carew (age 20) and Joan Courtenay (age 23).
Around 1535 George Carew (age 31) and Thomasine Pollard were married.
Letters and Papers Foreign and Domestic Henry VIII 1539. 22 March. [1536] R. O. 582. SIR GEO. CAREW (age 32) to CROMWELL.
Asks him to get the King's signature to the enclosed bill of a patent for the lieutenantship of Risbanck. Does not know whether the King meant him to have also Sir Nic. Carewe's (age 40) annuity of 109l., but sends the copy thereof for the more surety.
Found the fortress of Risbanck as raw and bare a house of war as ever was seen, with good artillery but not half a barrel of powder and no bows and arrows. Begs him as soon as he sees the commissioners' book thereof to set forward the work. Will send a "plott." Calais, 22 March. Signed.

On 1st May 1540 a tournament was held at Westminster [Map]. Gregory Cromwell 1st Baron Cromwell Oakham (age 20), Thomas Poynings 1st Baron Poynings (age 28), Thomas Seymour 1st Baron Seymour (age 32), John Dudley 1st Duke Northumberland (age 36), Richard Cromwell aka Williams (age 45) and George Carew (age 36) were challengers.
Before 1st February 1541 George Carew (age 37) and Mary Norreys (age 15) were married. The difference in their ages was 22 years. They were half fourth cousin once removed. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.
In 1545 John Chichester was captain of the ship Struce of Dansick under the command of George Carew (age 41).
On 19th July 1545 during the Battle of the Solent the Mary Rose sank. Roger Grenville (age 27) and George Carew (age 41) drowned.
In 1570 [his former wife] Mary Norreys (age 44) died.
