On 24th May 1764 [his father] Thomas Dundas 1st Baron Dundas [aged 23] and [his mother] Charlotte Fitzwilliam Baroness Dundas [aged 17] were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] William Fitzwilliam 1st and 3rd Earl Fitzwilliam and [his grandmother] Anne Watson Wentworth Countess Fitzwilliam.
On 10th April 1766 Lawrence Dundas 1st Earl Zetland was born to Thomas Dundas 1st Baron Dundas [aged 25] and Charlotte Fitzwilliam Baroness Dundas [aged 19] in Westminster [Map].
On 21st April 1781 [his grandfather] Thomas Laurence Dundas 1st Baronet [aged 71] died. His son [his father] Thomas [aged 40] succeeded 2nd Baronet Dundas of Kerse also inheriting Aske Hall North Yorkshire. [his mother] Charlotte Fitzwilliam Baroness Dundas [aged 34] by marriage Lady Dundas of Kerse.
In 1790 Lawrence Dundas 1st Earl Zetland [aged 23] was elected MP Richmond.
On 21st April 1794 Lawrence Dundas 1st Earl Zetland [aged 28] and Harriet Hale Baroness Dundas [aged 24] were married at Gainsborough [Map].
In August 1794 [his father] Thomas Dundas 1st Baron Dundas [aged 53] was created 1st Baron Dundas. [his mother] Charlotte Fitzwilliam Baroness Dundas [aged 48] by marriage Baroness Dundas.
On 5th February 1795 [his son] Thomas Laurence Dundas 2nd Earl Zetland was born to Lawrence Dundas 1st Earl Zetland [aged 28] and [his wife] Harriet Hale Baroness Dundas [aged 25] at Marylebone.
In 1808 Lawrence Dundas 1st Earl Zetland [aged 41] was elected MP Richmond.
On 21st August 1808 [his son] John Charles Dundas was born to Lawrence Dundas 1st Earl Zetland [aged 42] in Marylebone and [his wife] Harriet Hale Baroness Dundas [aged 39].
On 14th June 1820 [his father] Thomas Dundas 1st Baron Dundas [aged 79] died. His son Lawrence [aged 54] succeeded 2nd Baron Dundas, 3rd Baronet Dundas of Kerse. [his wife] Harriet Hale Baroness Dundas [aged 50] by marriage Baroness Dundas.
On 11th February 1833 [his mother] Charlotte Fitzwilliam Baroness Dundas [aged 86] died.
Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

On 18th April 1834 [his wife] Harriet Hale Baroness Dundas [aged 64] died at 19 Arlington Street, Piccadilly.

The Queen has been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under the Great Seal, granting the dignity of a Marquess of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, unto Constantine Henry Earl of Mulgrave [aged 41], and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, by the name, stile, and title of Marquess of Normanby, in the county of York. [Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 40] by marriage Marchioness Normanby.]
The Queen has also been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under the Great Seal, granting the dignities of Viscount and Earl of the said United Kingdom, unto William Baron King [aged 33], and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, by the names, stiles, and titles of Viscount Ockham, of Ockham, in the county of Surrey, and Earl of Lovelace. [Augusta Ada Byron Countess Lovelace [aged 22] by marriage Countess Lovelace. She was a descendant of the previous Baron Lovelace of Hurley in Berkshire.]

On 19th February 1839 Lawrence Dundas 1st Earl Zetland [aged 72] died suddenly at his home Aske Hall North Yorkshire. His son Thomas [aged 44] succeeded 2nd Earl Zetland aka Shetland, 3rd Baron Dundas, 4th Baronet Dundas of Kerse.
