In 1909 [his son] Joseph Waterhouse was born to Joseph Waterhouse [aged 31] and [his wife] Martha Elizabeth Hadfield [aged 31].
In 1917 Joseph Waterhouse [aged 39] and [his wife] Martha Elizabeth Hadfield [aged 39] were living at Clough Lane, Little Hayfield with their son Joseph Waterhouse [aged 8].
On 12th April 1917 Joseph Waterhouse [aged 40] was killed in action whilst serving with the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A. He left his widow [his wife] Martha Elizabeth Hadfield [aged 39] and their son Joseph Waterhouse [aged 8].

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness.
