John II King Aragon 1398-1479

In 1394 [his father] Ferdinand I King Aragon [aged 13] and [his mother] Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon [aged 20] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. He the son of [his grandfather] John I King Castile and [his grandmother] Eleanor Barcelona Queen Consort Castile. They were first cousin once removed.

On 29th June 1398 John II King Aragon was born to Ferdinand I King Aragon [aged 17] and Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon [aged 24]. Coefficient of inbreeding 4.42%.

On 31st May 1410 King Martin I of Aragon [aged 53] died. His nephew [his father] Ferdinand [aged 29] succeeded I King Aragon.

On 12th June 1415 [his brother] Alfonso V King Aragon [aged 19] and [his sister-in-law] Maria Trastámara Queen Consort Aragon [aged 13] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of [his uncle] Henry III King Castile and Catherine of Lancaster Queen Consort Castile [aged 42]. He the son of [his father] Ferdinand I King Aragon [aged 34] and [his mother] Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon [aged 41]. They were first cousins. She a great granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

On 2nd April 1416 [his father] Ferdinand I King Aragon [aged 35] died. His son [his brother] Alfonso [aged 20] succeeded V King Aragon.

In 1418 [his brother-in-law] John II King Castile [aged 12] and [his sister] Maria Trastámara Queen Consort Castile [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Castile. She the daughter of [his father] Ferdinand I King Aragon and [his mother] Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon [aged 44]. He the son of [his uncle] Henry III King Castile and Catherine of Lancaster Queen Consort Castile [aged 44]. They were first cousins. He a great grandson of King Edward III of England.

Before 29th May 1421 John II King Aragon [aged 22] and Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 33] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of Charles III King Navarre [aged 60] and Eleanor of Castile Queen Consort Navarre [aged 58]. He the son of Ferdinand I King Aragon and Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon [aged 47]. They were first cousin once removed. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Henry III of England.

On 29th May 1421 [his son] Charles "Viana" IV King Navarre was born to John II King Aragon [aged 22] and [his wife] Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 33]. Coefficient of inbreeding 5.59%. He married 30th September 1439 his third cousin Agnes de la Marck Queen Consort Navarre, daughter of Adolph de la Marck I Duke Cleves and Marie Valois Duchess Cleves.

In 1423 [his son] Juana Trastámara was born to John II King Aragon [aged 24] and [his wife] Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 35]. Coefficient of inbreeding 5.59%. He died aged two in 1425.

In 1424 [his daughter] Blanche Trastámara II Queen Navarre was born to John II King Aragon [aged 25] and [his wife] Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 36]. Coefficient of inbreeding 5.59%. She married 1440 her first cousin Henry IV King Castile, son of John II King Castile and Maria Trastámara Queen Consort Castile.

On 22nd August 1425 [his son] Juana Trastámara [aged 2] died.

On 2nd February 1426 [his daughter] Eleanor Trastámara Queen Consort Navarre was born to John II King Aragon [aged 27] and [his wife] Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 38]. Coefficient of inbreeding 5.59%. She married 1436 Gaston IV Count Foix, son of John I Count Foix and Jeanne Albret Countess Foix, and had issue.

In 1435 [his sister-in-law] Isabella Évreux Countess Armagnac [aged 40] died.

On 16th December 1435 [his mother] Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon [aged 61] died.

In 1436 [his son-in-law] Gaston IV Count Foix [aged 13] and Eleanor Trastámara Queen Consort Navarre [aged 9] were married. She by marriage Countess Foix. She the daughter of John II King Aragon [aged 37] and Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 48]. He the son of John I Count Foix [aged 54] and Jeanne Albret Countess Foix.

On 30th September 1439 Charles "Viana" IV King Navarre [aged 18] and Agnes de la Marck Queen Consort Navarre were married at Olite. She the daughter of Adolph de la Marck I Duke Cleves [aged 66] and Marie Valois Duchess Cleves [aged 46]. He the son of John II King Aragon [aged 41] and Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 51]. They were third cousins. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Edward I of England.

In 1440 [his son-in-law] Henry IV King Castile [aged 14] and Blanche Trastámara II Queen Navarre [aged 16] were married. She the daughter of John II King Aragon [aged 41] and Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 52]. He the son of John II King Castile [aged 34] and Maria Trastámara Queen Consort Castile [aged 44]. They were first cousins. He a great x 2 grandson of King Edward III of England.

In 1441 [his wife] Blanche Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 53] died.

After 1441 John II King Aragon [aged 42] and Juana Enríquez Queen Consort Aragon [aged 16] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. The difference in their ages was 26 years. She the daughter of Fadrique Enríquez Count Melgar Count Rueda [aged 51] and Mariana Fernández Countess Melgar. He the son of Ferdinand I King Aragon and Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon. They were second cousin once removed.

In 1445 [his sister] Maria Trastámara Queen Consort Castile [aged 49] died.

On 10th March 1452 [his son] Ferdinand II King Aragon was born to John II King Aragon [aged 53] and [his wife] Juana Enríquez Queen Consort Aragon [aged 27]. He married 1. 19th October 1469 his second cousin Isabella Queen Castile, daughter of John II King Castile and Isabella Aviz Queen Consort Castile, and had issue 2. 19th October 1505 his great niece Germaine Foix Queen Consort Aragon, daughter of Jean Foix Count Étampes and Marie Valois Viscountess Narbonne, and had issue.

In 1454 [his daughter] Joanna of Aragon Queen Consort Naples was born to John II King Aragon [aged 55] and [his wife] Juana Enríquez Queen Consort Aragon [aged 29]. She married 14th September 1476 her first cousin Ferdinand I King Naples and had issue.

On 27th June 1458 Alfonso V King Aragon [aged 62] died. His son Ferdinand [aged 35] succeeded I King Naples. Isabella Clermont Queen Consort Naples [aged 34] by marriage Queen Consort Naples. His brother John [aged 59] succeeded II King Aragon.

On 23rd September 1461 [his son] Charles "Viana" IV King Navarre [aged 40] died. His sister [his daughter] Blanche [aged 37] succeeded II Queen Navarre.

In 1464 [his daughter] Blanche Trastámara II Queen Navarre [aged 40] died.

On 13th February 1468 [his wife] Juana Enríquez Queen Consort Aragon [aged 43] died at Tarragona.

On 19th October 1469 Ferdinand II King Aragon [aged 17] and Isabella Queen Castile [aged 18] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of John II King Castile and Isabella Aviz Queen Consort Castile [aged 41]. He the son of John II King Aragon [aged 71] and Juana Enríquez Queen Consort Aragon. They were second cousins. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

On 14th September 1476 [his son-in-law] Ferdinand I King Naples [aged 53] and Joanna of Aragon Queen Consort Naples [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Naples. The difference in their ages was 30 years. She the daughter of John II King Aragon [aged 78] and Juana Enríquez Queen Consort Aragon. He the illegitmate son of Alfonso V King Aragon and Giralda Carlino. They were first cousins.

On 20th January 1479 John II King Aragon [aged 80] died. His son Ferdinand [aged 26] succeeded II King Aragon.
