She the daughter of [his grandfather] George Henry Vane-Tempest 5th Marquess Londonderry and [his grandmother] Mary Cornelia Edwards Marchioness Londonderry [aged 60].

On 6th August 1890 Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale was born to Wentworth Canning Blackett Beaumont 1st Viscount Allendale [aged 29] and Alexandrina Louise Maud Vane-Tempest Viscountess Allendale [aged 26].

On 13th February 1907 [his grandfather] Wentworth Beaumont 1st Baron Allendale [aged 77] died. His son [his father] Wentworth [aged 46] succeeded 2nd Baron Allendale of Allendale and Hexham in Northumberland.

On 8th February 1917 [his brother-in-law] Hugh William Fortescue 5th Earl Fortescue [aged 28] and [his sister] Margaret Helen Beaumont Countess Fortescue [aged 24] were married. He the son of Hugh Fortescue 4th Earl Fortescue [aged 62] and Emily Ormsby-Gore Countess Fortescue [aged 57].

On 20th July 1921 Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale [aged 30] and Violet Lucy Emily Seely Viscountess Allendale [aged 24] were married at St Martin in the Fields Church [Map].

On 12th September 1922 [his son] Wentworth Beaumont 3rd Viscount Allendale was born to Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale [aged 32] and [his wife] Violet Lucy Emily Seely Viscountess Allendale [aged 25].

On 12th December 1923 [his father] Wentworth Canning Blackett Beaumont 1st Viscount Allendale [aged 63] died. His son Wentworth [aged 33] succeeded 2nd Viscount Allendale of Allendale and Hexham in Northumberland, 3rd Baron Allendale of Allendale and Hexham in Northumberland. [his wife] Violet Lucy Emily Seely Viscountess Allendale [aged 26] by marriage Viscountess Allendale of Allendale and Hexham in Northumberland.

On 27th May 1925 [his daughter] Ela Helen Aline Beaumont Countess Carlisle was born to Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale [aged 34] and [his wife] Violet Lucy Emily Seely Viscountess Allendale [aged 28]. She married 3rd October 1945 Charles James Ruthven Howard 12th Earl Carlisle, son of George Josslyn L'Estrange Howard 11th Earl Carlisle and Bridget Helen "Biddy" Ruthven Countess Carlisle, and had issue.

On 13th August 1926 [his son] Richard Blackett Beaumont was born to Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale [aged 36] and [his wife] Violet Lucy Emily Seely Viscountess Allendale [aged 29]. He married before 2010 Lavinia Mary Keppel.

Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough

A canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: 'In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed.'

On 14th December 1929 [his son] Edward Canning Beaumont was born to Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale [aged 39] and [his wife] Violet Lucy Emily Seely Viscountess Allendale [aged 32].

On 29th October 1932 Hugh Fortescue 4th Earl Fortescue [aged 78] died. His son [his brother-in-law] Hugh [aged 44] succeeded 5th Earl Fortescue, 5th Viscount Ebrington of Ebrington in Gloucestershire, 7th Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill. On 31st July 1945 [his mother] Alexandrina Louise Maud Vane-Tempest Viscountess Allendale [aged 81] died.

On 3rd October 1945 [his son-in-law] Charles James Ruthven Howard 12th Earl Carlisle [aged 22] and [his daughter] Ela Helen Aline Beaumont Countess Carlisle [aged 20] were married. She by marriage Countess Carlisle. He the son of George Josslyn L'Estrange Howard 11th Earl Carlisle [aged 50] and Bridget Helen "Biddy" Ruthven Countess Carlisle [aged 49].

In 1951 Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale [aged 60] was appointed 909th Knight of the Garter by King George VI of the United Kingdom [aged 55].

On 16th December 1956 Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont 2nd Viscount Allendale [aged 66] died. His son Wentworth [aged 34] succeeded 3rd Viscount Allendale of Allendale and Hexham in Northumberland, 4th Baron Allendale of Allendale and Hexham in Northumberland.

On 6th May 1979 [his former wife] Violet Lucy Emily Seely Viscountess Allendale [aged 82] died.
