In 1531 George Seton 7th Lord Seton was born to George Seton 6th Lord Seton and Elizabeth Hay Lady Seton.

In October 1548 [his brother-in-law] John Graham 4th Earl Menteith [aged 19] and [his sister] Marie Seton Countess Menteith and Sutherland were married. She by marriage Countess Menteith. He the son of William Graham 3rd Earl Menteith. They were fifth cousin once removed.

In 1549 [his father] George Seton 6th Lord Seton died. His son George [aged 18] succeeded 7th Lord Seton. Isobel Hamilton Lady Seton by marriage Lord Seton.

In 1553 [his son] Robert Seton 1st Earl Winton was born to George Seton 7th Lord Seton [aged 22] and Isobel Hamilton Lady Seton. He married 1582 his second cousin Margaret Montgomerie Countess Winton, daughter of Hugh Montgomerie 3rd Earl Eglinton and Agnes Drummond Countess Eglinton, and had issue.

In 1555 [his son] Alexander Seton 1st Earl Dunfermline was born to George Seton 7th Lord Seton [aged 24] and Isobel Hamilton Lady Seton. He married (1) before 1st July 1592 Lillas Drummond and had issue (2) after 27th October 1601 his fourth cousin once removed Grizel Leslie Countess Dunfermline and had issue (3) after 15th November 1607 his second cousin once removed Margaret Hay Countess Dunfermline and had issue.

Around 1557 [his daughter] Margaret Seton Lady Paisley was born to George Seton 7th Lord Seton [aged 26] and Isobel Hamilton Lady Seton. She married after 16th June 1574 her third cousin once removed Claud Hamilton 1st Lord Paisley, son of James Hamilton 2nd Earl Arran and Margaret Douglas Duchess Châtellerault, and had issue.

In 1562 [his son] George Seton died.

After February 1566 [his brother-in-law] John Gordon 11th Earl Sutherland [aged 41] and [his sister] Marie Seton Countess Menteith and Sutherland were married. She by marriage Countess Sutherland. They were sixth cousins.

On 23rd June 1567 [his sister] Marie Seton Countess Menteith and Sutherland died at Dunrobin Castle, Dunrobin.

After 16th June 1574 [his son-in-law] Claud Hamilton 1st Lord Paisley [aged 28] and [his daughter] Margaret Seton Lady Paisley [aged 17] were married. He the son of James Hamilton 2nd Earl Arran [aged 58] and Margaret Douglas Duchess Châtellerault. They were third cousin once removed.

Margaret Seton Lady Paisley: Around 1557 she was born to George Seton 7th Lord Seton and Isobel Hamilton Lady Seton. After 16th June 1574 Claud Hamilton 1st Lord Paisley and she were married. He the son of James Hamilton 2nd Earl Arran and Margaret Douglas Duchess Châtellerault. They were third cousin once removed. In 1587 Claud Hamilton 1st Lord Paisley was created 1st Lord Paisley. She by marriage Lord Paisley. In 1616 Margaret Seton Lady Paisley died.

In 1582 [his son] Robert Seton 1st Earl Winton [aged 29] and [his daughter-in-law] Margaret Montgomerie Countess Winton were married. She the daughter of Hugh Montgomerie 3rd Earl Eglinton [aged 51] and Agnes Drummond Countess Eglinton [aged 59]. They were second cousins.
