In 1750 Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby was born to William Smelt of Bedale [aged 34].
In 1754 [her father] William Smelt of Bedale [aged 38] died.
On 7th March 1775 Thomas Frankland 6th Baronet [aged 24] and Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby [aged 25] were married. They were third cousins.
In 1784 [her son] Robert Frankland-Russell 7th Baronet was born to [her husband] Thomas Frankland 6th Baronet [aged 33] and Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby [aged 34]. He married 1815 Louisa Anne Murray Lady Thirkleby, daughter of Bishop George Murray, and had issue.
On 21st November 1784 [her father-in-law] Thomas Frankland 5th Baronet [aged 66] died at Bath, Somerset [Map]. His son [her husband] Thomas [aged 34] succeeded 6th Baronet Frankland of Thirkleby in Yorkshire. Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby [aged 34] by marriage Lady Frankland of Thirkleby in Yorkshire.

Mary Trant Otley: Around 1763 she was born. On 6th October 1785 Cornelius Smelt and she were married at Richmond, North Yorkshire [Map]. On 5th October 1797 she died. She was buried at All Saints Church, Thirkleby, North Yorkshire [Map] on 9th October 1797.
After 1804. All Saints Church, Thirkleby, North Yorkshire [Map]. Memorial to four of the children of [her husband] Thomas Frankland 6th Baronet [aged 53] and Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby [aged 54] who died young. Sculpted by John Flaxman [aged 48].





In 1815 [her son] Robert Frankland-Russell 7th Baronet [aged 31] and [her daughter-in-law] Louisa Anne Murray Lady Thirkleby [aged 24] were married. She the daughter of Bishop George Murray.
On 19th May 1820 Dorothy Smelt Lady Thirkleby [aged 70] died.
