In 1530 Ambrose Dudley 3rd Earl Warwick was born to John Dudley 1st Duke Northumberland (age 26) and Jane Guildford Duchess Northumberland (age 21).

On 26 Jun 1542 Robert Tailboys 3rd Baron Tailboys 11th Baron Kyme (age 14) died. His sister [his future wife] Elizabeth Tailboys Countess Warwick (age 20) succeeded 4th Baroness Tailboys of Kyme, def jure 12th Baroness Kyme.

In Aug 1553 [his brother] John Dudley 2nd Earl Warwick (age 26) was attainted. Earl Warwick was forfeit. However, his brother Ambrose Dudley 3rd Earl Warwick (age 23) was restored to the Earldom in 1561.

Trial and Execution of Lady Jane Grey's Supporters

On 22 Aug 1553 [his father] John Dudley 1st Duke Northumberland (age 49) was beheaded at Tower Hill [Map]. Duke Northumberland, Earl Warwick and Viscount Lisle forfeit. [his brother] John Dudley 2nd Earl Warwick (age 26), his son, was also attainted, with the Earldom of Warwick forfeit.

Thomas Palmer and John Gates (age 49) were hanged, drawn and quartered.

Henry Machyn's Diary. 13 Nov 1553. [The 13th of November were arraigned at Guildhall doctor Cranmer (age 64), archbishop of Canterbury, the lord] [his brother] Gylfford Dudlay (age 18), the sune of the [his father] duke of Northumberland and my lade Jane (age 17) ys wyff, the doythur of the duke of Suffoke-Dassett (age 36), and the lord Hambrosse Dudlay (age 23), [and the] lord [his brother] Hare Dudlay (age 22), the wyche lade Jane was proclamyd [Queen]: they all v wher cast for to dee.

On 26 Dec 1554 Ambrose Dudley 3rd Earl Warwick (age 24) was was created 1st Baron Lisle. [his wife] Elizabeth Tailboys Countess Warwick (age 32) by marriage Countess Warwick.

In 1555 [his mother] Jane Guildford Duchess Northumberland (age 46) died.

Henry Machyn's Diary. 05 Oct 1559. [The] v day of October cam to [London by Ald]gatt the prynse of Sweythen (age 25), and [so to Leadenhall], and done [down] Gracyous-strett [Map] corner in a howse stod [the lord] marques of Northamtun (age 47) and my lord Ambros Dudley (age 29) [and other gentlemen and] lades; and my lord of Oxford (age 43) browth (him) from Col[chester] [Map] and my lord [his brother] Robart Dudley (age 27), the master of the quen('s) horse; and trumpettes bloyng in dyvers places; and thay had [a great] nombur of gentyllmen ryd with cheynes a-for them, and after them a ij C [200] of yomen rydyng, and so rydyng over the bryge unto the bysshope of Wynchastur plasse [Map], for [it] was rychely hangyd with ryche cloth of arres, wrought with gold and sylver and sylke, and ther he remanyth.

The v day of November ther was grett justes at the quen('s) palles [palace], and ther was my [his brother] lord Robartt Dudley (age 27) and my lord of Hunsdon (age 33) wher the chalengers, and all they wher (in) skarffes of whyt and blake, boyth haroldes and trumpeters; and deffenders my lord Ambros (age 29) with odur; and the haroldes and trumpeters and the fotmen with skarffes of red and yelow sarsenett.

1562 News Years Day Gift Giving

On 01 Jan 1562 the New Years Gift Giving was held. Those who gave gifts provide an interesting who's who of the Elizabethan Court soon after Elizabeth I's Coronation. Queen Elizabeth (age 28) was present since a number are described as "With the Qene her Majestie."

Lady Margaret Strange married Henry Stanley Lord Strange (age 30) on 07 Feb 1555. In 1561 he had not succeeded to Earldom of Derby and was known by the courtesy title Lord Strange. She is listed first since she was one of the few remaining direct descendants of Henry VII, being a great-granddaughter by his daughter Mary Tudor. Margaret Clifford (age 22) was first in line to succeed in 1568 but died in 1596 before Elizabeth I.

On 24 Apr 1563 Queen Elizabeth I of England and Ireland (age 29) created two new Garter Knights:

346th Thomas Percy 7th Earl of Northumberland (age 35).

Around 1565 Ambrosia Sidney was born to Henry Sidney (age 36) and [his sister] Mary Dudley (age 35). She was named after her uncle Ambrose Dudley 3rd Earl Warwick (age 35).

On 11 Nov 1565 Ambrose Dudley 3rd Earl Warwick (age 35) and Anne Russell Countess Warwick (age 17) were married. She by marriage Countess Warwick.
