On 12 Oct 1753 Danvers Osborn 3rd Baronet (age 37) committed suicide at New York. His body was found in the garden of the house in which he was lodged, which belonged to a local councilman. The body presented evidence of strangulation. His son [his son] George Osborn 4th Baronet (age 11) succeeded 4th Baronet Osborn of Chicksands in Bedfordshire.
