In 1817 a large room was added to the Elizabethan School, Nether Alderley [Map] by the Rev. Edward Stanley. In 1908 the room was restored and presented to the parish by Lord Stanley of Alderley.
On 07 Oct 1826 [his father] Edward John Stanley 2nd Baron Stanley and 1st Baron Eddisbury (age 23) and [his mother] Henrietta Maria Dillon Baroness Stanley Alderley and Eddisbury (age 18) were married. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King James II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 16 Feb 1895 [his mother] Henrietta Maria Dillon Baroness Stanley Alderley and Eddisbury (age 87) died.
On 10 Dec 1903 [his brother] Henry Edward Stanley 3rd Baron Stanley 2nd Baron Eddisbury (age 76) died. He was buried according to Muslim rites in unconsecrated ground in the garden of the Dower House on his family's estate, Alderley Park, Cheshire [Map]. His brother Edward Lyulph Stanley 4th Baron Stanley 3rd Baron Eddisbury (age 64) succeeded 4th Baron Stanley Alderley, 3rd Baron Eddisbury of Winnington in Cheshire, 10th Baronet Stanley of Alderley in Cheshire.
On 20 Dec 1904 [his father-in-law] Isaac Lowthian Bell 1st Baronet died. His son [his brother-in-law] Thomas Hugh Bell 2nd Baronet (age 60) succeeded 2nd Baronet Bell of Rounton Range and Washington Hall in County Durham. Florence Eveleen Eleanore Olliffe Lady Bell (age 53) by marriage Lady Bell of Rounton Range and Washington Hall in County Durham.
Before 04 Mar 1907 [his son-in-law] Anthony Morton Henley (age 34) and [his daughter] Sylvia Laura Stanley (age 25) were married.
On 14 Nov 1908 [his son] Edward John Stanley (age 30) died unmarried.
1909. The Stanley Mausoleum, St Mary's Church [Map] was built for the 4th Lord Stanley of Alderley (age 69). The architect was Paul Phipps of London (Father of Joyce Grenfell); it is now a Grade II listed building. It is built of sandstone with a Kerridge stone-slate roof and above the door is the Stanley crest. Below the Mausoleum runs an empty crypt.
On 21 Apr 1909 Henry Holroyd 3rd Earl Sheffield (age 77) died unmarried. Earl Sheffield of Dunamore in Meath, Viscount Pevensey, Baron Sheffield of Dunamore in Meath and Baron Sheffield of Sheffield in Yorkshire extinct. His half first cousin once removed Edward Lyulph Stanley 4th Baron Stanley 3rd Baron Eddisbury (age 69) succeeded 4th Baron Sheffield of Roscommon in Roscommon.

On 26 Jul 1915 [his son-in-law] Edwin Montagu (age 36) and [his daughter] Beatrice Venetia Stanley (age 28) were married. She had converted to Judaism after his proposal on 28 Apr 1915.
On 08 Jul 1919 [his son] Oliver Hugh Stanley (age 39) and [his daughter-in-law] Alice Kathleen Violet Thynne (age 28) were married. She the daughter of Thomas Henry Thynne 5th Marquess of Bath (age 56) and Violet Caroline Mordaunt Marchioness Bath (age 50).
On 18 Mar 1925 Edward Lyulph Stanley 4th Baron Stanley 3rd Baron Eddisbury (age 85) died. His son [his son] Arthur Stanley 5th Baron Stanley, 5th Baron Sheffield, 4th Baron Eddisbury (age 49) succeeded 5th Baron Stanley Alderley, 5th Baron Sheffield of Roscommon in Roscommon, 4th Baron Eddisbury of Winnington in Cheshire, 11th Baronet Stanley of Alderley in Cheshire.
On 04 Jan 1929 [his former wife] Mary Catherine Bell Baroness Stanley died.
