He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 17 Oct 1718. His brother [his father] William Wheler 5th Baronet (age 14) succeeded 5th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster.

On or before 23 Jan 1740 [his mother] Penelope Glynne Lady Wheler died. She was buried on 23 Jan 1740 at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings.

On or before 04 Jun 1763 [his father] William Wheler 5th Baronet (age 59) died. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 04 Jun 1763. His son William Wheeler 6th Baronet (age 36) succeeded 6th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster. [his wife] Lucy Knightley Lady Wheler by marriage Lady Wheler of the City of Westminster.

On or before 27 Mar 1791 [his wife] Lucy Knightley Lady Wheler died. She was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 27 Mar 1791.

In 1798 [his son] Knightley Wheler (age 44) died unmarried.

On or before 16 Apr 1799 William Wheeler 6th Baronet (age 72) died. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 16 Apr 1799. His brother [his brother] Charles Wheler 7th Baronet (age 68) succeeded 7th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster. Lucy Strange Lady Wheler by marriage Lady Wheler of the City of Westminster. His only son [his son] Knightley Wheler had died a year before without issue. His daughter [his daughter] Lucy Wheeler (age 45) and her husband [his son-in-law] Edward Sacherevell Wilmot aka Wilmot-Sitwell (age 50) inherited the manor house and greater part, some 2,000 acres, of the Leamington Hastings estate.
