Biography of Edward Seymour 9th Duke Somerset 1717-1792

On 29 Dec 1740 [his grandfather] Edward Seymour 5th Baronet (age 79) died. His son [his father] Edward Seymour 8th Duke Somerset 1695-1757 (age 45) succeeded 6th Baronet Seymour of Berry Pomeroy. [his mother]  (age 43) by marriage Lady Seymour of Berry Pomeroy.

On 07 Feb 1750 Algernon Seymour 7th Duke Somerset (age 65) died. He was buried at Northumberland Vault, Crypt, Westminster Abbey. His half fifth cousin once removed [his father] Edward Seymour 8th Duke Somerset 1695-1757 (age 55) succeeded 8th Duke Somerset. Earl Hertford extinct. [his mother]  (age 53) by marriage Duchess Somerset. His daughter Elizabeth Seymour Duchess Northumberland (age 33) succeeded 2nd Baroness Percy. His nephew Charles Wyndham 2nd Earl Egremont 1710-1763 (age 39) succeeded 2nd Earl Egremont.

In Dec 1757 [his father] Edward Seymour 8th Duke Somerset 1695-1757 (age 62) died. His son Edward Seymour 9th Duke Somerset (age 40) succeeded 9th Duke Somerset, 7th Baronet Seymour of Berry Pomeroy. On 23 Feb 1768 [his mother]  (age 71) died.

On 02 Jan 1792 Edward Seymour 9th Duke Somerset (age 75) died. On 02 Jan 1792 His brother [his brother] Webb Seymour 10th Duke Somerset 1718-1793 (age 73) succeeded 10th Duke Somerset, 8th Baronet Seymour of Berry Pomeroy.
