Search isn't case sensitive.

For surnames with alternate spellings try searching for partial words eg for Strangwayes/Strangewayes/Strangways try "Strang", or for Grenville/Granville try "nville".

Forenames can be spelled in many ways eg Elizabeth/Elisabeth. Try searching for partial words eg "abeth".

For the purpose of search we convert accented and compound letters to their base. For example if a word includes 'é' search for 'e'.
