Her younger sister [his future wife] Frances Cromwell (age 3) was mother to regicide [his son] Edward Whalley. They had four sons abd five daughters.
In or before 1593 Francis Barrington (age 20) and [his future sister-in-law] Joan Cromwell (age 27) were married.
In 1595 Richard Whalley of Kirton (age 29) was appointed High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire.
