Paternal Family Tree: Cholmeley of Easton
On 18th April 1903 [his father] Montagu Aubrey Rowley Cholmeley 4th Baronet (age 26) and [his mother] Mabel Janetta Waldo-Sibthorp Lady Cholmeley (age 25) were married.
On 7th February 1906 Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet was born to Montagu Aubrey Rowley Cholmeley 4th Baronet (age 29) and Mabel Janetta Waldo-Sibthorp Lady Cholmeley (age 28).
On 24th December 1914 [his father] Montagu Aubrey Rowley Cholmeley 4th Baronet (age 38) was killed in action at La Bassee, Western Front whilst serving with the 3rd Battalion (RESERVE OF OFFICERS), Grenadier Guards. Germans blew up one of the trenches further along the line, so that they could fire down his line of trench. Captain Cholmeley during an attack rushed forward towards the flank of the company which was and was shot through the head and killed instantaneously. His son Hugh (age 8) succeeded 5th Baronet Cholmeley of Easton in Lincolnshire.
On 27th March 1935 [his son] Montague John Cholmeley 6th Baronet was born to Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet (age 29).
In 1939 Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet (age 32) was appointed Justice of the Peace Lincolnshire.
In 1939 Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet (age 32) was appointed Deputy Lieutenant Lincolnshire.
In 1944 Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet (age 37) was awarded the Distinguished Service Order.
On 18th October 1960 [his son] Montague John Cholmeley 6th Baronet (age 25) and [his daughter-in-law] Juliet Auriol Sally Nelson Lady Cholmeley (age 20) were married.
In 1961 Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet (age 54) was appointed High Sheriff of Lincolnshire.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." In 1963 Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet (age 56) was awarded Companion of the Order of the Bath.
On 1st February 1964 Hugh John Francis Sibthorp Cholmeley 5th Baronet (age 57) died. His son [his son] Montague (age 28) succeeded 6th Baronet Cholmeley of Easton in Lincolnshire. [his daughter-in-law] Juliet Auriol Sally Nelson Lady Cholmeley (age 23) by marriage Lady Cholmeley of Easton in Lincolnshire.
