Biography of John Bright 1st Baronet 1619-1688

On 14th October 1619 John Bright 1st Baronet was born to Stephen Bright and Joan Westby.

Around 1645 John Bright 1st Baronet (age 25) and Catherine Hawksworth were married.

In 1654 John Bright 1st Baronet (age 34) was appointed High Sheriff of Yorkshire.

In July 1660 John Bright 1st Baronet (age 40) was created 1st Baronet Bright of Badsworth in Yorkshire.

Before 1665 [his daughter] Catherine Bright was born to John Bright 1st Baronet (age 45) and [his wife] Catherine Hawksworth

Before 1665 [his wife] Catherine Hawksworth died.

Around 1665 John Bright 1st Baronet (age 45) and Elizabeth Norcliffe were married.

Before 1670 [his son-in-law] Henry Liddell 3rd Baronet (age 25) and [his daughter] Catherine Bright (age 5) were married. The difference in their ages was 20 years.

In or before 1673 Thomas Vane and [his future wife] Frances Liddell (age 13) were married. They were first cousins.

In July 1682 John Bright 1st Baronet (age 62) and Frances Liddell (age 23) were married. The difference in their ages was 39 years.

In November 1682 [his wife] Frances Liddell (age 23) died.

In 7th June 1683 John Bright 1st Baronet (age 63) and Susannah Wharton were married.

On 13th October 1688 John Bright 1st Baronet (age 68) died. He was buried at Saint Mary the Virgin Church, Badsworth. Baronet Bright of Badsworth in Yorkshire extinct. His estates were inherited by his daughter [his daughter] Catherine Bright (age 23) and her husband [his son-in-law] Henry Liddell 3rd Baronet (age 44).
