Biography of John Fenton-Cawthorne 1753-1831

On 5th January 1753 John Fenton-Cawthorne was born to [his father] James Fenton of Lancaster and [his mother] Elizabeth Cawthorne.

On 22nd August 1778 John Fenton-Cawthorne (age 25) and Frances Delaval (age 19) were married.

On 3rd June 1780 George Carpenter 2nd Earl Tyrconnel (age 30) and [his sister-in-law] Sarah Hussey Delaval Countess Tyrconnel (age 17) were married. She by marriage Countess Tyrconnel. He the son of George Carpenter 1st Earl Tyrconnel and Frances Clifton Countess Tyrconnel.

In 1781 John Fenton-Cawthorne (age 27) inherited the estate of his maternal uncle at which time he added the additional surname Cawthorne.

In January 1783 John Fenton-Cawthorne (age 29) was elected MP Lincoln.

In 1800 [his sister-in-law] Sarah Hussey Delaval Countess Tyrconnel (age 37) died.

In 1806 John Fenton-Cawthorne (age 52) was elected MP Lancaster.

On 1st March 1831 John Fenton-Cawthorne (age 78) died at Hanover Street.

In 1839 [his former wife] Frances Delaval (age 80) died.
