Richard "The Younger" Westmacott 1799-1892 is in Sculptors.
On 20th February 1798 [his father] Richard Westmacott (age 22) and [his mother] Dorothy Margaret Wilkinson were married. He the son of [his grandfather] Richard "The Elder" Westmacott (age 51) and [his grandmother] Sarah Vardy.
In 1799 Richard "The Younger" Westmacott was born to Richard Westmacott (age 23) and Dorothy Margaret Wilkinson.
From 1818 Richard "The Younger" Westmacott (age 19) studied at the Royal Academy.

Altar tomb with shaped ends and recumbent effigy in Garter robes with Leg Garter, all in white marble; the ends of the tomb chest are carved with arms and heraldic emblems; signed 'R. WESTMACOTT, JUNR, A.R.A. (age 35) 1844'.
In 1838 Richard "The Younger" Westmacott (age 39) was elected Associate of the Royal Academy at which time he was living at 21 Wilton Place, Belgravia.

On 14th December 1841 Anne Fitzpatrick (age 72) died at Farmingwood or Farming Woods, Northamptonshire. Monument in St James the Apostle Church, Grafton Underwood, Northamptonshire [Map] sculpted by Richard "The Younger" Westmacott (age 42).
Anne Fitzpatrick: After 23rd March 1769 she was born to John Fitzpatrick 2nd Earl Upper Ossory and Anne Liddell Duchess Grafton.
In 1849 Richard "The Younger" Westmacott (age 50) was elected Fellow of the Royal Academy.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." On 1st September 1856 [his father] Richard Westmacott (age 81) died at 14 South Audley Street [Map]. He was buried in St Mary's Church, Chastleton [Map] where his son [his brother] Hector Westmacott was Rector in 1878.
In 1857 Richard "The Younger" Westmacott (age 58) was appointed to succeed Royal Academy professor of sculpture succeeding his father [his father] Richard Westmacott.
On 19th April 1892 Richard "The Younger" Westmacott (age 93) died.
