On 7th January 1707 [his father] Walter Calverly 1st Baronet (age 37) and [his mother] Julia Blacket Lady Calverley (age 20) were married at St Andrew's Church, Newcastle upon Tyne [Map].
On 18th December 1707 Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet was born to [his father] Walter Calverly 1st Baronet (age 37) and [his mother] Julia Blacket Lady Calverley (age 21).
On 11th December 1711 [his father] Walter Calverly 1st Baronet (age 41) was created 1st Baronet Calverley of Calverley in Yorkshire. [his mother] Julia Blacket Lady Calverley (age 25) by marriage Lady Calverley of Calverley in Yorkshire.
On 28th February 1724 Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet (age 16) entered Balliol College, Oxford University.
On 25th September 1728 [his uncle] William Blackett 2nd Baronet (age 38) died without issue. He was buried in Cathedral Church St Nicholas, Newcastle upon Tyne [Map]. Baronet Blackett of Newcastle upon Tyne in Northumberland extinct. His nephew Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet (age 20) inherited his estates at Allendale, Northumberland and William Blackett 2nd Baronet, Cambo on condition that he marry William's illegitmate daughter [his future wife] Elizabeth Orde Lady Blackett, apparently within twelve months although he was late by four days, and change his surname to Blackett, which he duly did. He changed his surname by an Act of Parliament in 1733.
On 29th September 1729 Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet (age 21) and Elizabeth Orde Lady Blackett were married. They were first cousins.
In 1731 Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet (age 23) was appointed High Sheriff of Northumberland.
In 1734 Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet (age 26) was elected MP Newcastle upon Tyne which seat he represented in seven parliaments until his death in 1777.
On 13th September 1736 [his mother] Julia Blacket Lady Calverley (age 50) died.
On 15th October 1749 [his father] Walter Calverly 1st Baronet (age 79) died. His son Walter (age 41) succeeded 2nd Baronet Blackett of Claverley in Yorkshire. [his wife] Elizabeth Orde Lady Blackett by marriage Lady Blackett of Claverley in Yorkshire.
The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

On 21st September 1759 [his wife] Elizabeth Orde Lady Blackett died. She was buried on 28th September 1759 at the Cathedral Church St Nicholas, Newcastle upon Tyne [Map].
In 1777 Wallington Hall, Northumberland [Map] was substantially rebuilt again, in Palladian style, for Walter Blackett (age 69) by architect Daniel Garret.
On 14th February 1777 Walter Calverley aka Blackett 2nd Baronet (age 69) died. Baronet Blackett of Claverley in Yorkshire extinct. He was buried at Calverley. His estates, including Wallington Hall, Northumberland [Map], in line with the will of [his uncle] William Blackett 2nd Baronet, passed to John Trevelyan 4th Baronet (age 42), the son of Sir Walter's sister [his half-sister] Julia (age 64); Wallington Hall, Northumberland [Map] remained in the Trevelyan family for over two centuries.
