Paternal Family Tree: Bagot
On 27th July 1724 [his father] Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet (age 21) and [his mother] Barbara Legge Baroness Bagot (age 15) were married. She by marriage Lady Bagot of Blithfield Hall. They had eight sons and eight daughters. She the daughter of [his grandfather] William Legge 1st Earl Dartmouth (age 51) and [his grandmother] Anne Finch Countess Dartmouth.
On 28th February 1728 William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot was born to [his father] Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet (age 25) and [his mother] Barbara Legge Baroness Bagot (age 19).
In 1747 [his father] Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet (age 44) was elected MP Staffordshire in a fiercely fought contest. He stood down in 1754 in favour of his son William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot (age 18).
On 20th August 1760 William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot (age 32) and Elizabeth St John Baroness Bagot were married.
On 29th October 1765 [his mother] Barbara Legge Baroness Bagot (age 56) died.
On 20th January 1768 [his father] Walter Wagstaffe Bagot 5th Baronet (age 65) died. His son William (age 39) succeeded 6th Baronet Bagot of Blithfield Hall.
On 11th September 1773 [his son] William Bagot 2nd Baron Bagot was born to William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot (age 45) and [his wife] Elizabeth St John Baroness Bagot. He married (1) 30th May 1799 Emily Fitzroy Baroness Bagot, daughter of Charles Fitzroy 1st Baron Southampton and Anne Warren Baroness Southampton (2) 17th February 1807 his second cousin once removed Louisa Legge Baroness Bagot, daughter of George Legge 3rd Earl Dartmouth and Frances Finch Countess Dartmouth, and had issue.

The Chronicle of Walter of Guisborough, a canon regular of the Augustinian Guisborough Priory, Yorkshire, formerly known as The Chronicle of Walter of Hemingburgh, describes the period from 1066 to 1346. Before 1274 the Chronicle is based on other works. Thereafter, the Chronicle is original, and a remarkable source for the events of the time. This book provides a translation of the Chronicle from that date. The Latin source for our translation is the 1849 work edited by Hans Claude Hamilton. Hamilton, in his preface, says: "In the present work we behold perhaps one of the finest samples of our early chronicles, both as regards the value of the events recorded, and the correctness with which they are detailed; Nor will the pleasing style of composition be lightly passed over by those capable of seeing reflected from it the tokens of a vigorous and cultivated mind, and a favourable specimen of the learning and taste of the age in which it was framed." On 23rd September 1781 [his son] Charles Bagot was born to William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot (age 53) and [his wife] Elizabeth St John Baroness Bagot at Blithfield Hall. He married 22nd July 1806 Mary Charlotte Anne Wellesley-Pole, daughter of William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington and Katherine Forbes Countess Mornington, and had issue.
In 1782 [his brother] Bishop Lewis Bagot (age 41) was appointed Bishop of Bristol.
On 22nd November 1782 [his son] Bishop Richard Bagot was born to William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot (age 54) and [his wife] Elizabeth St John Baroness Bagot. He married 1806 his fifth cousin once removed Harriet Villiers, daughter of George Bussy Villiers 4th Earl Jersey and Frances Twysden, and had issue.
In 1783 [his brother] Bishop Lewis Bagot (age 42) was appointed Bishop of Norwich.

On 9th November 1785 [his daughter] Frances Bagot was born to William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot (age 57) and [his wife] Elizabeth St John Baroness Bagot. She married 22nd May 1805 General Edward Paget, son of Henry Bayly-Paget 1st Earl Uxbridge and Jane Champagné Countess Uxbridge, and had issue.
On 22nd October 1798 William Bagot 1st Baron Bagot (age 70) died. His son William (age 25) succeeded 2nd Baron Bagot of Bagot's Bromley in Staffordshire, 7th Baronet Bagot of Blithfield Hall. [his future daughter-in-law] Emily Fitzroy Baroness Bagot (age 27) by marriage Baroness Bagot of Bagot's Bromley in Staffordshire.
