William of Worcester's Chronicle of England
William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.

On or before 25th November 1697 Trevor Wheler 4th Baronet was born to William Wheeler 3rd Baronet [aged 43] and Teresa Widdrington. He was baptised at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 25th November 1697.
On 23rd February 1709 William Wheeler 3rd Baronet [aged 55] died. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings. His son Trevor [aged 11] succeeded 4th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster.
On or before 7th May 1718 Teresa Widdrington died. She was buried on 7th May 1718 at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings.
A month before his twenty-first birthday, Trevor Wheler 4th Baronet [aged 20] died unmarried. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 17th October 1718. His brother William [aged 14] succeeded 5th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster.
On 16th July 1726 William Wheeler 6th Baronet was born to William Wheler 5th Baronet [aged 22] and Penelope Glynne Lady Wheler. He was baptised at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 4th August 1726. He married before 17th May 1753 Lucy Knightley Lady Wheler and had issue.
On or before 23rd January 1740 Penelope Glynne Lady Wheler died. She was buried on 23rd January 1740 at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings.
In 1757 Charles Wheler 7th Baronet [aged 26] was appointed Vicar of All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings which position he held until his death in 1821.
On or before 4th June 1763 William Wheler 5th Baronet [aged 59] died. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 4th June 1763. His son William [aged 36] succeeded 6th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster. Lucy Knightley Lady Wheler by marriage Lady Wheler of the City of Westminster.
On or before 23rd June 1763 Trevor Wheler 8th Baronet was born to Charles Wheler 7th Baronet [aged 32] and Lucy Strange Lady Wheler. He was baptised at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 23rd June 1763 He married 20th March 1792 Harriet Beresford and had issue.
On or before 27th March 1791 Lucy Knightley Lady Wheler died. She was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 27th March 1791.
Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.
In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. On or before 16th April 1799 William Wheeler 6th Baronet [aged 72] died. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings on 16th April 1799. His brother Charles [aged 68] succeeded 7th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster. Lucy Strange Lady Wheler by marriage Lady Wheler of the City of Westminster. His only son Knightley Wheler had died a year before without issue. His daughter Lucy Wheeler [aged 45] and her husband Edward Sacherevell Wilmot aka Wilmot-Sitwell [aged 50] inherited the manor house and greater part, some 2,000 acres, of the Leamington Hastings estate.
On 25th April 1859 Lucy Dandridge Lady Wheler died. She was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings.
On 4th April 1878 Francis Wheler 10th Baronet [aged 76] died at The Roccles, Sydenham. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings. His son Trevor [aged 50] succeeded 11th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster. Cordelia Mary Jane Scott Lady Wheler by marriage Lady Wheler of the City of Westminster.
On 10th January 1900 Trevor Wheler 11th Baronet [aged 71] died at Charlecote, Lansdown. He was buried at All Saints' Church, Leamington Hastings. His son Edward [aged 42] succeeded 12th Baronet Wheler of the City of Westminster.
