Henrici Quinti, Angliæ Regis, Gesta, is a first-hand account of the Agincourt Campaign, and subsequent events to his death in 1422. The author of the first part was a Chaplain in King Henry's retinue who was present from King Henry's departure at Southampton in 1415, at the siege of Harfleur, the battle of Agincourt, and the celebrations on King Henry's return to London. The second part, by another writer, relates the events that took place including the negotiations at Troye, Henry's marriage and his death in 1422.

Between 1653 and 1655 the Holy Trinity Church Staunton Harold, Leicestershire [Map] was commissioned by Robert Shirley 4th Baronet (age 24). The inscription above the West Door reads "In the year 1653 when all things Sacred were throughout ye nation, Either demolisht or profaned, Sir Robert Shirley, Baronet, Founded this church; Whose singular praise it is, to have done the best things in ye worst times, and hoped them in the most callamitous. The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance."

On 13th March 1859 Washington Sewallis Shirley 9th Earl Ferrers (age 37) died at Staunton Harold, Leicestershire [Map]. He was buried at Holy Trinity Church Staunton Harold, Leicestershire [Map]. His son Sewallis (age 12) succeeded 10th Earl Ferrers, 16th Baronet Shirley of Staunton Harold in Leicestershire.
