The Queen (age 52) has been pleased to direct Letters Patent to be passed under the Great Seal granting the dignity of a Baron of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland unto the Right Honourable John Arthur Douglas (age 68), Baron Bloomfield, in that part of the said United Kingdom called Ireland, G.C.B., Her Majesty's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to His Majesty the Emperor of Austria, and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten, by the name, style, and title of Baron Bloomfield, of, Ciamhalltha, in the county of Tipperary.
