In 1863 Robert Moncton Milnes 1st Baron Houghton (age 53) was created 1st Baron Houghton of Great Houghton in the West Riding of Yorkshire.

On 11th August 1885 Robert Moncton Milnes 1st Baron Houghton (age 76) died. His son Robert (age 27) succeeded 2nd Baron Houghton of Great Houghton in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Sibyl Marcia Graham Baroness Houghton (age 28) by marriage Baroness Houghton of Great Houghton in the West Riding of Yorkshire.

On 20th June 1945 Robert Offley Ashburton Crewe Milnes 1st Marquess of Crewe (age 87) died without surviving male issue.
