The Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke. Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson. Available at Amazon in eBook and Paperback.

On 28th October 1907 Charles Henry Wilson 1st Baron Nunburnholme (age 74) died. His son Charles (age 32) succeeded 2nd Baron Nunburnholme. Marjorie Cecilia Wynn-Carington Baroness Willoughby of Parham (age 27) by marriage Baroness Willoughby Parham.
On 15th August 1924 Charles Henry Wellesley Wilson 2nd Baron Nunburnholme (age 49) died. His son Charles (age 20) succeeded 3rd Baron Nunburnholme.
On 24th November 1927 Charles John Wilson 3rd Baron Nunburnholme (age 23) and Mary Beatrice Thynne Baroness Nunburnholme (age 24) were married. She by marriage Baroness Nunburnholme. She the daughter of Thomas Henry Thynne 5th Marquess of Bath (age 65) and Violet Caroline Mordaunt Marchioness Bath (age 58). They were fourth cousins.
On 31st October 1953 Charles John Wilson 3rd Baron Nunburnholme (age 49) and Alex Hockley Baroness Nunburnholme were married. She by marriage Baroness Nunburnholme.
On 1st January 1974 Charles John Wilson 3rd Baron Nunburnholme (age 69) died. His son Ben (age 45) succeeded 4th Baron Nunburnholme.
On 28th July 1999 Ben Charles Wilson 4th Baron Nunburnholme (age 71) died. His brother Charles (age 64) succeeded 5th Baron Nunburnholme.
On 20th November 2000 Charles Thomas Wilson 5th Baron Nunburnholme (age 65) died. His son Stephen (age 27) succeeded 6th Baron Nunburnholme.
